HID Ballasts: Designed in California by Morimoto's engineer, Yoshi Ishida, the Morimoto XB 2.0 HID Ballasts are just as good looking on the outside as they are well-engineered on the inside. They are available in both 35w and 50w versions, use proprietary software by the pros at Hylux paired with packaging perfection from the masters at Morimoto. This is today's most modern iteration of a model that has sold more than half a million units since inception, and we don't think it can really get any better!
HID Bulbs: At the heart of the XB D2S bulbs is their perfectly aligned 100% Philips Quartz glass that houses a capsule from APL-USA. Using high quality halide salts from German-supplier Messer; the bulbs produce nearly the same luminosity (intensity) as the amazing Osram CBI bulbs at 5500K. No, you're not seeing things here, but yes you will be seeing everything at night!
Wiring: The Morimoto HD Relay Harness features an all-new completely sealed double 40A Relays, 14 gauge stranded copper wire wrapped in durable black tech-flex mesh that looks like a factory harness once installed. No cutting or splicing here: there are only five connections and they're all plug-n-play.
Canbus Compatible: The optional Standalone Canbus harness substitute is recommended for European vehicles that display "bulb out" error messsages. They contain a series of capacitors and resistors to trick the car into thinking nothing has changed and help you avoid annoying lamp-out warnings on the dash.

The difference is night and day between my old headlights and the upgraded system, I pared these with their tsxr upgrade as well as the relay kit and my nights are lit. So yourself a favor and upgrade your stuff

Great kit. Picked up this newest version of their HID kit to replace the failing DDM ballasts I was using with my Morimoto projectors.
The ballasts are small, well made, silent and have a great integrated mounting system. Super secure and easy to fit anyway.
The harness is great; MUCH better than the old TRS harness with the plastic relay. High beam worked immediately with this kit, whereas it never worked with the older relay, no matter what wire arrangements I tried. Sheathing is top notch, looks very professional, much better than loom.
Bulbs are much brighter than the junk DDM 4300k bulbs I was using. The 5000k TRS bulbs are far brighter and whiter!
They also included a few random Weatherpack connectors in the box, which is great because I needed one to replace a high beam solenoid connector. Welcome surprise!
Only 3 minor gripes. 1)The harness is a little short for trucks; it barely reached across the front of my 03 Tundra, and forced me to relocate the ballasts since it was too short to go where the old ones were. Didn't want to ruin the pretty sheathing splicing. 2) The locking studs on the bulbs are SUPER fragile. Even using the most gingerly touch, I managed to snap one off the first bulb. A shot of teflon spray in the D2S connector made the second one go on easily. Wish the bulbs had 4 locking studs; you can get by with only 1, but if that one fails, you're SOL. 3) Finally, I wish the ground wires for the ballasts were integrated into the sheathing that ran to my aux fuse box/battery, like the old harness. Makes for a cleaner install.
Still the absolute best kit on the market, well worth the price, and gets better with every new iteration.

hey guys ....idk what to say bout this setup ...except ...when i first came shopping at TRS's website ..the price of this kit was and is a little higher than other kits ...but after getting stuck twice with garbage HID kits ...costing me about $100 each ..i decided to try TRS's kit. Here's the facts ...i have been running 2 Morimoto 55W D2S HID kits on my car for about a year now for about 5 hours straight every night and about 5 days a week. And they're still running :D That's all i'm gonna say. So u decide if u would want an HID kit this awesome and long lasting !!! :D

D2S + Projectors + 4x6 Headlights

At first i was very skeptical of putting projectors in my older vehicle. Im not much for spending tons of money on lights/cosmetics, But my old 4x6 sealed beams put out so little light, i had to do something or not drive my 86' Camaro at night. After buying a set of cheap ebay 4x6's, a set of close out projectors to see if i even liked the looks, and this D2S kit, I must say its possibly the best money ive spent on the car in a while. The ignitors and ballasts got some weight too them! I was really impressed with the quality out of the box! The light is so bright, The cut off line is sharp and crisp, and i can see at night again. They start up instantly too! No waiting two second like those cheapo ebay kits! Only downfall is that the short harness/connector to plug into the original H3 wiring is a little bit loose @ the connector on the adaptor side, causes the headlights to flicker if wiggled. Easy fix seeing i have to make a custom harness anyway for my 4651's. I was on the fence about the cheaper H1 kit, but im glad i went with the D2S kit. Overall, I'm very happy with them. Thanks for all the help and guidance TRS! I'll be back again! Thanks TRS, Ill be back when i do my daily driver!
