INSTALLATION DOCUMENTS
Renowned: The Morimoto Elite Systems have earned their reputation amongst many as the aftermarket's best set of HID's. We urge you to check out the specs below, Read the reviews and then ask yourself whether your ability to see well while driving at night is worth saving a couple bucks?
HID Ballasts: Designed in California by Morimoto's engineer, Yoshi Ishida, the Morimoto XB 2.0 HID Ballasts are just as good looking on the outside as they are well-engineered on the inside. They are available in both 35w and 50w versions, use proprietary software by the pros at Hylux paired with packaging perfection from the masters at Morimoto. This is today's most modern iteration of a model that has sold more than half a million units since inception, and we don't think it can really get any better!
HID Bulbs: At the heart of the XB H11 bulbs is their perfectly aligned 100% Philips Quartz glass that houses a capsule from APL-USA. Using high quality halide salts from German-supplier Messer; the bulbs produce nearly the same lumin Osity (intensity) as the amazing Osram CBI bulbs at 5500K. No, you're not seeing things here, but yes you will be seeing everything at night!
Wiring: The special Silverado Spec HD Relay Harness features an all-new completely sealed double 40A Relays, 14 gauge stranded copper wire wrapped in durable black tech-flex mesh that looks like a factory harness once installed. No cutting or splicing here: there are only five connections and they're all plug-n-play. Most importantly, the harness includes the proper capacitor to absorb and smooth out the pulsed signal from the factory fog light circuit that plagues these trucks.
Backed Up: Let's not forget the 5-year warranty on the entire kit*. The Elite system is designed to run for 2500 hours, so that's what it's guaranteed for. Don't buy into empty promises from other places offering BS "lifetime" warranties. Nothing lasts forever, and if you think "the other guy" will be there to pick up the phone or even stay in business long enough to assist you when there's a problem; guess again! [*XB55 Silverado HID kits have a 3 year warranty]
User-Approved: By satisfied enthusiasts with all kinds of cars and trucks. With a quick and easy search we pulled up install examples (1,2,3,4,5,6) that span several generations of the Elite HID systems! If you haven't made a decision just yet, keep reading!

2013 Accord V6
by Derrick Griggs
I must say when researching this lighting system I was a little apprehensive about them. After a couple of phone calls to the guys about the system and if it was compatible with my car I went ahead and made the purchase. The installation was a little more involved than I expected but that could be me being a perfectionist and wanting it too look as stock as possible. These are as advertised!! They give the car the look and improved safety I was looking for. This was money well spent. I highly recommend this system, if you have any question about it do not hesitate to call, they were more than helpful.
2015 Sierra HD and 2016 Yukon
by DAN DOBOGAI
I installed a pair in both my GMC trucks, a 2500HD and Yukon. and wow! fixed GMC's epic failure. I had to order ballast and igniter harness extensions as the harness is definitely not long enough for the airbox side. both vehicles are the 35W 5500k with led xb fogs.
2016 CHEVY 2500 HD
by Steve Molnar
The low beams for this 60 k truck are a joke. Purchased the 4500k 35 w set and could not be happier. Install took a little longer than expected but wanted all wires secured and out of the way as much as possible. There is various routs for the wires so took little pre-planning prior. Like others have mentioned light output is great and huge difference with nice cutoff. This truck should not have come with Halogens from the factory not a good place to cut cost. Great company and satisfied customer after much research prior to purchase. Thanks
2015 Silverado LT (Non Projector)
by Jose
Kit is one of a kind. No instructions are provided which can make things a bit tedious. 35w 5550k kit is perfect OEM like look. Much higher output of light, harness along with relay hides well beneath plastic cover under hood. Paired it along with Morimoto XB LED 9005 High/DRL kit.
Awesome kit
by Ernie
Install was pretty easy and everything went together plug n play. The kit is high quality and these bulbs fix the flawed dimness of the Silverado headlights, now I can enjoy driving at night again.
Amazing Kit!!!

Just installed this on a 2016 Chevy Silverado with projectors. Absolutely amazing light and ease of assembly. I have ordered from The Retrofit source for years now. Their products just keep getting better. Always staying ahead of the curve. If you are thinking about buying this, just go ahead and do it. It's worth it. Do not continue to look at those dull halogens any longer. Do your self the favor and make the investment. I also installed the LED 9005 conversion. Will be reviewing them very shortly. Thanks again TRS, very pleased and surely will buy again.
Best money I've ever spent on headlights
by Stephen Hogan
I tried the Morimoto 2 stroke Led bulbs on the first go around and couldn't stand the fan noises. Contacted TRS and they assisted me in finding the right HID kit (35w 5500k). If I had to guess I'd say a 200% improvement over the 2 stroke LED bulbs in pattern and brightness. Simple straight forward wiring with good instructions.
Easy Install Great Results

Do it!

Hands down, best money I ever spent for lighting for my truck. I own the 2014 Silverado Double Cab. Absolutely way way better than stock. Don't even need to use my highs anymore! Only negative thing is, the instructions suck! Plus they don't send a hard copy of instructions with the package. Need to get online and either print it out or keep the computer, phone, whatever with you the whole time while installing. You would think that since this says for "Silverado" it would actually come with detailed instructions for the Silverado! Also in the instructions it says to drill a 7/8" hole in the dust covers, don't! Instead drill a 1" hole. Don't tear them up trying to go from 7/8" to 1", it sucks! Other than that, hands down the best, just buy em and upgrade your low beams today! Do not hesitate! Best money ever spent!
