Profile Performance: The automotive aftermarket's best name in LED Lighting and when it comes to Switchback LED Strips; easily the one that gets our nod of approval. Fact is that while the rest of the industry is busy sticking their name on a generic or standing still with the same-old same-old; Profile is working hand-in-hand with the industry's experts to keep pumping out the products with the performance that we all expect. Their Pivot Sequential Switchbacks are perfection so satisfying that we're left without anything else to ask for.
Switchback: Yep, you read that correctly. Profile is giving us our cake and letting us eat it too with their new sequential LED strips. Not only do they provide the excellent Type II switchback function that everybody has come to expect out of any LED accent lighting today, but when the amber mode kicks in, the Pivot delivers a badass sequential illuminating effect from side to side.
Intensity and Uniformity: Typical LED strips are spotty due to the spacing on the LED's, but Profile's clever external driver design allows the LEDs to be mounted with virtually zero gap between them. In addition, their unique blend of phosphorous silicone coats the front face of the Pivot Sequential strips and is responsible for their neutral "white when off" look and their amazing intensity which is unlike anything else on the market.
Don't be Fooled: Typically SMD-based LED strips are a bit spotty due to the spacing on the LEDs..but Profile's clever external driver design allows the LED's to be mounted with virtually zero gap between them. When lit, they will create a singular, smooth, and seamless band of bright light!
Simplicity: Wiring the Pivot Sequential strips is super easy. Their advanced LED drivers control the white and sequential amber functions and only require a 3-wire input. The white wire receives a constant 12V+. The black wire is grounded, and the orange wire is tapped into the turn signal circuit.
Reliability: The innovative Hybrid-LED technology delivers a virtually infinite lifespan of 50,000 hours. That's almost six straight years! Because they're based on much more stable and mature SMD-LEDs; they are considerably more reliable between hot/cold cycles compared to "new" COB based strips. The Pivot drivers are refined to work reliably on all modern cars/trucks, and are completely potted inside to avoid moisture-related problems.
Construction: The White/Amber LED chips are mounted to a semi-flexible but stable circuit board, making them easy to work with. The sequential function requires some additional components on the PCB, so we highly recommend avoiding these if you've got some severe angles to work with. Bend 'em too much and they will break! (though they are still flexible.

Was going to do 3 stars but that's pushing it. These are no doubt fantastic but theirs two issues which are only my opinion. This is listed at 5000k but they appear to be more 4500k range compared to my 6000k vleds. Maybe the color scale is that different between 5 and 6k. One feature is missing... they do not have a dimming option for night time driving so they are constantly full bright. Other that I love them. They're bright. The sequential function works flawlessly and butter smooth. The amber color is that deep beautiful amber color. The driver is small and efficient. Good product.
Long awaited and it's finally here! No more cheap after-aftermarket sequential strips that work like those animated sketch motion films of the 1960s. Of course, the major feature here is the sequential turn signal, which is smooth and flawless, better than any other I have seen on the few modern cars that come with this feature. A little pricey for what it is, but If you are looking for something compact and not bulky like most of the attempts to create this effect while maintaining brightness and that rich, distinct amber colour, look no further. This is it!
