INSTALLATION DOCUMENTS
Renowned: The Morimoto Elite Systems have earned their reputation amongst many as the aftermarket's best set of HID's. We urge you to check out the specs below, Read the reviews and then ask yourself whether your ability to see well while driving at night is worth saving a couple bucks?
NOTE: If you have a 2015+ Mopar vehicle, you'll need the 2015+ Mopar-Spec kit.
HID Ballasts: Designed in California by Morimoto's engineer, Yoshi Ishida, the Morimoto XB 2.0 HID Ballasts are just as good looking on the outside as they are well-engineered on the inside. They are available in both 35w and 50w versions, use proprietary software by the pros at Hylux paired with packaging perfection from the masters at Morimoto. This is today's most modern iteration of a model that has sold more than half a million units since inception, and we don't think it can really get any better!
HID Bulbs: At the heart of the XB 9012 bulbs is their perfectly aligned 100% Philips Quartz glass that houses a capsule from APL-USA. Using high quality halide salts from German-supplier Messer; the bulbs produce nearly the same lumin Osity (intensity) as the amazing Osram CBI bulbs at 5500K. No, you're not seeing things here, but yes you will be seeing everything at night!
Wiring: The special Mopar Spec HD Relay Harness features an all-new completely sealed double 40A Relays, 14 gauge stranded copper wire wrapped in durable black tech-flex mesh that looks like a factory harness once installed. No cutting or splicing here: there are only five connections and they're all plug-n-play. Most importantly, the harness includes the proper capacitor to absorb and smooth out the pulsed signal from the factory fog light circuit that plagues these trucks.
Backed Up: Let's not forget the 5-year warranty on the entire kit*. The Elite system is designed to run for 2500 hours, so that's what it's guaranteed for. Don't buy into empty promises from other places offering BS "lifetime" warranties. Nothing lasts forever, and if you think "the other guy" will be there to pick up the phone or even stay in business long enough to assist you when there's a problem; guess again! [*XB55 Mopar HID kits have a 3 year warranty]
User-Approved: By satisfied enthusiasts with all kinds of cars and trucks. With a quick and easy search we pulled up install examples (1,2,3,4,5,6) that span several generations of the Elite HID systems! If you haven't made a decision just yet, keep reading!

2015 Chrysler 300-S
by John
Changed out halogen bulbs with this kit and couldn't be happier. Installer complimented ease and quality of materials. The 5000K HID bulbs in the halogen projectors throw the light out exceptionally, don't know if it could be much better. 5000K match OEM LEDs superbly, 6000K would probably be applicable too.

2014 Dodge Dart GT
by Randy Robinson
I installed this kit on my Dart and it was quick and easy. I have not had any issues at all and everything functions as it should, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade from the stock halogen. The light output is about 2.5 time what the halogen is!
2018 Chevrolet Colorado
by Michael Pickell
I will say this kit is a pretty high quality kit, all of the wiring is protected, ballast look to be pretty high tech, install is pretty straight forward, only complaints I have with this kit(for the Colorado) is the power/ground wires are way to long when your installing this setup closest to the battery, this isnt a deal breaker though, additionally the passenger side wire for the ballast is a couple inches short making proper install(ballast connections facing down) a bit tricky, at least for the Colorado, not many places to mount it where it faces down, lastly I know mounting tabs are on the ballast themselves, but some kind of bracket would be more helpful, let you mount it from a bolt instead of trying to make it work else where, I did a test they fired right up, I recommend Morimoto over other kits based on the quality and simplicity of install.
Awesome HID Kit
by Mychael
This is a high quality HID kit that is worth every penny you spend on it. I bought this for my 2013 Chrysler 300 and it has been flawless. The kit comes with a wiring harness that is designed to work with Mopar's Canbus system. Great Product! Great Company!
Almost Perfect

Vehicle: 2012 Chrysler 300C
Overall, the kit quality is very good. I have one Amp Igniter connector with a plug that seems to be a little loose, but I was able to secure the connection with electrical tape. The light output is tremendously better than the stock halogens. It's nice being able to see the road; I'd forgotten what a difference HIDs make.
My one complaint is that the 9012 bulbs only fit upside-down in my car. I had to trim a tab on the bulbs to make them fit, and they don't fit as snug as they should. Hopefully that will be OK in the long run. I've read posts from other Chrysler 300 owners who report the same problem. I would think that TRS would alert owners to this possibility and also have a technical document that shows how to properly modify the tabs to make the bulb fit. The biggest disappointment is the lack of interest from TRS on this bulb-fitment issue for my car. I was essentially told "this is a Chrysler problem, not ours".
Best Quality HID Kit
by SEAN
This is my third HID kit, the first from TRS. Did my research via forums, reviews, etc. due to "finiky" Chrysler CANBUS system and decided on the Morimoto kit for my 2012 Chrysler 300C. The 35W, 5K, kit was of extremely high quality and installed with no problems. Only company I found with the 9012 bulb size, not 9006 like others, which upon installation, revealed a perfect snug fit as others with 9006 have been known to alter level of light. Used the Mopar harness and experienced no problems with error messages or flickering/pulsing etc. with CANBUS system. 5K matches the factory LED DRLs. Worth every $ and highly recommend.
Hid
by Brett Oosterkamp
I purchased an HID system in my 2014 Chrysler 300 and while it took me awhile to get thru to talk to someone it was worth it and had to respect how busy they were. The install was self explanatory but I couldn't figure out why they kept shutting off. Here it was a simple flip of a connection to change polarity and they work and look fantastic, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Next is my fogs to match. Thank you to whomever I spoke with that helped me bc these were packed up ready to return. Will definitely reccomend to others.
Not real impressed
by Michael Tran
First bulb I received was defective. Had to wait a few more days on top of my backorder to relieve new bulb. Not driver side bulb will not turn on first try. I have to sit there and turn my headlight on and off for a bit and look like an idiot giving out the S.O.S. I've had them for less than one year. I know they have a 5 year warranty but the point of buying quality products is to not have to worry. So far, it's been the opposite and I'm considering buying the competitions since Ive got nothing to lose at this point. I dont know if I just didnt connect this thing right or what, but at least when they work, they're great. That's my honest no bs review.
