No Comparison: When it comes to HID bulbs, Morimoto has always brought us the best in the aftermarket, and their latest examples are no exception. Sure we think the options from Philips and Osram are great too, but when it comes to bang for the buck - nothing compares to the Morimoto XB HID lineup. Available in versions designed specifically for either 35W or 50W: The XB's will produce more lumens, last longer, project farther, and look better doing it.
Luminosity: At the heart of the XB D2S bulbs is their perfectly aligned 100% Philips quartz glass that houses a capsule from APL-USA. Using high quality halide salts from German-supplier Messer; the bulbs produce nearly the same luminosity (intensity) as the amazing Osram CBI bulbs at 5500K. No, you're not seeing things here, but yes you will be seeing everything at night. In our Comparison to the big brands; Morimoto's XB capsule ran with the best of em!
Long Life: The Austrian-sourced Plansee electrodes help keep the bulbs running brighter for longer. In comparison to a Philips bulb with 200 hours of use; the Morimoto will maintain 83% of it's intensity whereas the Philips bulb will retain 86%. Yeah, the Philips maintains a little longer, but this kind of longevity is unheard of in the aftermarket. We're impressed!
Precise Alignment: Morimoto's Symmetry-Structure frame surrounds the base of the glass capsule keeping everything properly lined up, which is paramount when it comes to HID bulbs. In the past we all agreed that precision wasn't the strong suit for the XB bulbs... But the latest are indeed the greatest - and they're now consistently well-aligned, which is a good thing - because it means the output is also consistently bright and uniform throughout. [Applause]
Reliability: Not that we recommend this for any HID bulb, but go ahead and fire it up 100 times in a row or even run it underwater for days at a time and the difference between the XB and any so called "competition" will be clear. These bulbs will even work with OEM Nissan/Infiniti (Matsushita/Panasonic) ballasts, which are notorious for compatibility problems on anything aftermarket.
Compliance: The XB replacement HID bulbs are built to industry-standard specifications and meet/exceed all SAE, DOT, and ECE requirements, making them a perfect match for a replacement bulb or upgrade! They have been tested for reliability with all ballasts from Morimoto, Denso, Hella, Bosch, and Koito and passed with ease.

Brighter than OEM

These appeared to be brighter than the oem Phillips on my 6 year old car, better cutoff too.
Bright for a year

These were very comparable to CBI's at first. Very good. But now that they have about 500 hours on them I think they are at about 60% brightness. They last about half as long as the better brands. I guess it's a wash since they cost half as much.

Bought the 5000k bulbs and all i have to say is WOW... These are so evenly compared to philips and osrams. Extremely brighter than those cheap ebays that i dont recommend at all to anyone. I would purchase these over and over and over and over and over and over again.......
Customer for life

Purchased these for my '09 G37s coupe in the 6k color temp. Awesome bulbs and have no on/off/flicker issues whatsoever. Went from the 6yr old stock bulb to this and night and day difference. Light is white with a hint of blue and my cut off has somewhat of a rainbow effect towards the edges. If you're debating whether these are a good aftermarket bulb then don't wait, purchase yours today. You won't be disappointed.
Crisp and clean!

I ordered these on 11/14 and received them on 11/16 via USPS Priority. It was free shipping due to my total order being over $100. Not bad! I waited until 6a the following day to test the brightness...compared to an 8 year old set of Philips 85122 and 6 year old Philips 85122+, they're noticeably brighter and whiter. I didn't notice that old xenon bulbs lost that much brightness over time! I will replace every couple years moving forward. I use my headlights as daytime running lights as well, so there are thousands of hours on those previous bulbs. With all that being said, I think I prefer maximum output and lumens, so I may opt for OEM and 4100K to 4300K with my ZK-R setup within Audi RS6 bixenon's.
Exceeded Expectations 5500k

Purchased the D2S 5500k for my Range Rover Sport and will be sticking with TRS Morimoto HID's from now on. Perfectly pure, crisp white light. I tend to get flashed here and there being mistaken to have my high beams on...but is quickly rendered when I actually flip them on. These throw such a nice and even beam pattern compared to other aftermarket brands I've owned. I've even purchased Osram and Philips in the past, but no longer.

Ds2 5500k 2008 tsx

Recieved the D2S bulbs in 3 days, but 1 bulb ceramic is broken. Contact TRS for more info prior to install, for those who have question regarding to the broken ceramic tube they will not effect performance at all, even with broken ceramic tube bulbs still under warranty. Bulbs build quality is top notch,cant tell the different between oem and TRS BULBS.That is killer customer services, the one and only i will buy from now on.

I had read reviews on a few forums about these bulbs arrive but typically had one being defective. TRF always stood behind their product though and the customers were happy in the end. I am the third person of all my friends now to order these XB35 and never once had a problem! The installation guide is very helpful for those who may not know how to install and shipping is fast. I was very happy with the product in the end and cannot even tell the difference between Phillips vs. Morimoto. Great value - awesome product!

I ordered a pair of morimoto xb35 d2s bulbs for my e46 bmw. They are the cheapest great quality bulbs i could find. I was very impressed with how quickly TRS shipped them out and delivered. The fitment of these bulbs are excellent. They don't wobble inside the headlight. Definitely would recommend these to anyone.
