INSTALLATION DOCUMENTS
The King: It wasn't long ago that the XV2 from Philips was the brightest bulb on the market. No More! Osram's all-new Night Breaker Laser has taken the rank and recently tested to be the BRIGHTEST HID bulb currently on the market. Check out the Comparison Video we recently did on em, where Osram took the lead by about 20 lux.
"Laser": What makes them so amazing? The old Osram XNB (standard Night Breaker) was touted to have "Up to 70% more light output" compared to a standard bulb. The XNL Laser? 200%! Thanks to the most modern technology and some crafty physical changes Osram made to the focal position of the bulbs, they've really pulled out the stops on low beam performance!
Audience: So you're considering a fresh set of bulbs, are you? Well if you A) don't mind the price, B) wan't the brightest possible option, and C) don't really care much about cooler color temps in the 5-6000K range, then these are right for you. Put differently: They are for the dude whose serious about driving in all-weather conditions, doesn't give a shit about looking "cool", and only buys the best parts for their car.
Backed: Bottom line? We've always been Osram fan boys here at TRS, they've continued to up the performance from their product line every year, and as annoying as it is to continually update the catalog, we're blown away by the bump in output every time. Our hats are also off to Osram for maintaining focus on improving HID bulb tech even though it's technically "old news" by today's OEM standards. HID is King, and Osram is the King of HID.
Genuine: The Retrofit Source is proud to offer these bulbs in their original retail packaging from Osram. We pride ourselves on being one of the last few distributors shipping genuine Philips & Osram lamps in the US. It is estimated that 80% of these bulbs sold through outlets such as eBay or Amazon are fakes.

Excellent choice
by Benjamin
I've bought several sets of d1s bulbs to find the right ones from factory replacement to amazon specials and while they all did the job and I could see for the most part these are by far the best and very much worth the price. They are pricey but worth every penny. I managed to snag a set on closeout.
Great upgrade for more light!

The Retrofit Source was great in helping pick this out. The color is right in between OEM yellow and white which was perfect for my needs. Noticeably more light down the road as I am driving and worth the money in my opinion. Thanks guys!

these are bulbs are brighter than the factory bulbs that come in them the beam is wider and longer and the color is a little whiter I highly recommend these bulbs if you want to keep the OEM look.
These are amazing
by Zachary Norman
A bit pricey but these bulbs are worth every penny. I travel frequently in rural Oklahoma and these bulbs light up the road extremely well. I have the Adaptive Bi-xenon headlamps on my Volkswagen Mk6 GTI and these bulbs appear to be twice as bright as the factory ones. If you're on the fence just do it! I also recommend paying a mechanic to install because it was very difficult to do. After several attempts I gave up and paid my VW dealer to install.
