HID Ballasts: Designed in California by Morimoto's engineer, Yoshi Ishida, the Morimoto XB 2.0 HID Ballasts are just as good looking on the outside as they are well-engineered on the inside. They are available in both 35w and 50w versions, use proprietary software by the pros at Hylux paired with packaging perfection from the masters at Morimoto. This is today's most modern iteration of a model that has sold more than half a million units since inception, and we don't think it can really get any better!
HID Bulbs: At the heart of the XB H11B bulbs is their perfectly aligned 100% Philips Quartz glass that houses a capsule from APL-USA. Using high quality halide salts from German-supplier Messer; the bulbs produce nearly the same lumin Osity (intensity) as the amazing Osram CBI bulbs at 5500K. No, you're not seeing things here, but yes you will be seeing everything at night!
Wiring: The Morimoto HD Relay Harness features an all-new completely sealed double 40A Relays, 14 gauge stranded copper wire wrapped in durable black tech-flex mesh that looks like a factory harness once installed. No cutting or splicing here: there are only five connections and they're all plug-n-play.

2018 TRD OR 5500K

Just switched to the 5500k 35w and it is freakin awesome. Super easy to install and super bright. Will definitely use morimoto for any auto lights!
2018 Tacoma TRD Offroad

Out of the box everything was packaged beautifully. The hardware is all very well made and heavy duty. Installation was a breeze (2 hours at most) and most of the time spent was on managing the wiring and mounting relays and ballasts. Everything works great and no issues found. I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking to get rid of the outdated halogens in their vehicle. Thank you TRS for the quality piece of kit!
Awesome Performing/Looking HID's!!

I first heard about these on the Tacoma World forum (shout out) and heard only good things - Mainly about the 5500K which is the most popular as per a TFS rep. I ordered the 6500K, which was exactly the color I wanted. I previously owned an F150 with factory HID's. The 6500K provide the same color and performance as my F150 had. I wasn't out for looks so much as performance, and I have accomplished what I set out to do with these lights. Thanks Morimoto/TFS!
HID Kit

Well I just installed these babies. The wiring could have been a little more. I didn't follow the instructions to a T but it is working just fine. Quality looks great and the light output is awesome. I purposely drove down a bumpy road and did not see any shaking effect that some other guys mentioned on Tacomworld. The high density grommets work great. I would definitely recommend this specific kit for any 2016 Taco owner looking to get better light than the stock halogens.

Fantastic lights

I was directed here from Tacoma World and these lights are everything I wanted. I got the 35w in 6500k. Light output is perfect and they match the Daytime Running Lights now.
I installed these on a Friday night, and went 'offroading' through a rough dirt trail to test them.
Many people complained about a light bouncing issue but I didn't have any bounce.
I would definitely recommend these.
Total install time was about 30 minutes.
Tacoma elite HID

The Morimoto elite kit for the 16+ Tacoma trucks is hands down the best, and most functional all around mod/upgrade any Taco driver can make! It totally blows the stock low beams away. Anyone who does any amount of nighttime driving, especially on mountain or country roads with wildlife NEEDS this kit for the Tacoma. The 35w with 4500k bulbs is absolutely amazing. I personally wouldn't do a 55w on account of how expensive the headlight housing is, and don't want to be fading or deteriorating the lens from the inside. The 35w will produce more than enough light to see well down the road. Installed easy, and after a week of driving there has been absolutely 0 shakes or flickers. Love this kit and will recommend it to any and all 2016+ Tacoma drivers. Thank you TRS and Morimoto!
