The new Mopars: May be the best ones yet, but when it comes to upgrading anything in the lighting system; it's nothing but a nightmare. Thankfully though after many attempts, the new Morimoto 15+ Mopar Spec harness does the trick to keep an aftermarket HID system running smoothly.
Lamp Out: When upgrading to HID lights on the 2015+ Mopar vehicles, the car's ECU senses a change in the resistance of the headlight circuit and cuts power to anything but the stock 9012 halogen bulbs after a few minutes in use. Good luck with basic "canbus" ballasts or other more conventional "canbus" harnesses. They wont work, many will claim success, many have failed! This is the only setup on the market that we know of that does the trick on 2015+ Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram vehicles.
Calibrated: The 15+ Mopar Spec harness is properly calibrated to tame the canbus system on the new Mopar vehicles. Using a quad configuration for it's load resistors that's unique only to this harness in conjunction with a special anti-flicker capacitor and twin relays - the harness will absorb any pulsing signals emitted from the stock output for uninterrupted relay function. No flickering or pulsing!
Plug n Play: The layout of the harness makes it easy to install. With just a few simple connections, even your mom could set this thing up! Wire lengths are long enough to be used in everything from compact cars to SUVs and it's designed to be 100% plug and play (no cutting or splicing needed). It’s connections are explained in this video. Regardless if you're using a Dodge Ram LED headlight kit or an HID system, this harness ensures nothing goes into panic mode!
OEM Finish: Aside from being a technical masterpiece, it's also a work of art. With its braided TechFlex insulation, anodized and laser engraved relays, and 100% weather resistant dual relay pack to power the ballasts. it will surely look factory-fresh under the hood.

i got the oem kit with the toyota ballest and the mopar harness and was getting the low beam out message and lights would turn off they sent me another harness had it in three days , letting install people know that do not install capacitor to resistors , as that was the problem , lights are awesome ,and my wife can see at night better then ever quality product great support highly recommend best hid kits on the market hands down
My Durango came with the factory halogen projectors and I knew I'd be pursing a retrofit of sorts. I ordered this kit after speaking with the folks at TRS and I can say that the kit was relatively easy to install. The biggest challenge was finding ideal locations to mount the resistors and running the wires properly. Upon completion the lights fired up with no issues and no unnecessary lights on the dash. This harness makes a retrofit upgrade on a MOPAR vehicle as painless as possible.
Well done TRS!
Bought this to use with my already installed HID kit. Fixed my light out message issue and plan to buy TRS ballast when i start having issues.
Already had HID kit in my 17 Ram. even though the kit was suppose to be CANBUS applicable, it wasnt.
Thankfully this fixed the bulb out issue and it was a much better kits.
I have tried just about every kit from TRS on the dart and nothing wanted to be full proof with the canbus harness worked but it was hit or miss. Some work great some didn't. I got my hands on the new Ram spec resistors and wired it up into my current mopar spec relay and things seem to be great! This car is a nightmare for HIDs haha
