Using laser cut brackets made of military-grade G10 Fiberglass to adapt high-performance projectors in place of the cheapo projectors that came in your lights - you get the best of both worlds!
Spyder Lights: Can vary, but the same. To ensure this kit will work on your housings; be sure to match up the template to the existing projector to ensure they're a match. The template can be seen below.
Mini H1 Projectors: Feature clear lenses to give them a wide, intense beam pattern with a sharp and colorful cutoff line. The Super version is enhanced with an all new optically advanced reflector bowl; improving low and high beam performance beyond all competing models.
Optional HID Ballasts: Designed in California by Morimoto's engineer, Yoshi Ishida, the Morimoto XB 2.0 HID Ballasts are just as good looking on the outside as they are well-engineered on the inside. They are available in both 35w and 50w versions, use proprietary software by the pros at Hylux paired with packaging perfection from the masters at Morimoto. This is today's most modern iteration of a model that has sold more than half a million units since inception, and we don't think it can really get any better!
Optional H1 HID Bulbs: Homegrown by Morimoto to out-perform any alternatives on the market when installed in projector-based headlight--and it shows. We admit the latest generation XB HID bulbs are pretty impressive when compared to other bulbs, and even older Morimoto bulbs. At the heart of the XB bulbs is their perfectly-aligned 100% Philips quartz glass capsule that houses high quality halide salts from German-supplier Messer. In our annual lux comparison test, they produced nearly the same lumin Osity (intensity) as the industry benchmark Osram CBI bulbs at 5500K. No, you're not seeing things here, but yes you will be seeing everything at night.
Optional Relay Harness: As one of the most important parts in any HID lighting upgrade, don't skimp out when it comes to your wiring. It doesn't matter how good your ballasts are or how good your bulbs are, if your harness is a piece of crap, when it gives out your headlights are gonzo. The Morimoto HD Relay harness is easily worth the premium price compared to cheaper alternatives. With triple-sealed twin relays, 14ga. stranded copper wiring, over-molded fittings, and plug-n-play functionality, it will ensure everything functions properly and permanently from the original in-cabin controls. It's easily the best headlight wire harness out there.
Optional High Beam Splitters: Double high beams?! whaaaat! Put simply, the optional Morimoto high beam splitters allow you to make this feature work easily without any cutting or splicing to the factory wiring by diverting power from the halogen bulb into the projector's high beam solenoid, making them both work at the same time.
Optional Housing Sealant: Protection is priceless! When you're putting together a set of high-end headlights, the last thing you want is moisture in 'em the first time it rains outside. RetroRubber is the most effective way to make sure the original seal is fully restored. For the small price, why anybody wouldn't prevent their new headlights from fogging up is beyond us. It'll be the best twelve bucks you've ever spent.

2000 VW Jetta TDI With Spec-D Projectors
WOW! That just about sums it up. I actually ordered this kit (with XB35 4300k) because I was less than impressed with the high beam output of my Spec-D lights which have dedicated low beam projectors and high beam reflectors both of which use H1 Halogen lamps. I did have to do a little cutting because the reflector bowl of the Morimoto's is slightly larger than the Spec-D's, but they were really close to a drop in. Overall the hardest part was getting the glue to turn loose on the lens. After completing one of them, I fired it up and couldn't believe that just ONE of these is so bright that you can't tell the halogens are even on! Yes, that's TWO H1 halogen reflector lights against ONE Morimoto projector. After completing the install, I am completely blown away. It's almost like it's not even dark outside. It's actually hard to tell if the cars around you even have their headlights on even if they are two lanes over. The beam is unbelievably wide and reaches so far that twice now I've come to a nice gentle stop 500' or so in front of deer. This alone proves their worth to me. All of this and almost no glare at all to oncoming traffic. This is something I wanted to be very careful about because I really hate seeing misadjusted or poor quality, lights glaring at me. I've never been flashed, and honestly, I can't explain it, but even with these on high beam, I think the glare is actually worse from the halogens. I mention this because I was worried about meeting someone coming over the top of a steep hill when they might actually get hit by my low beams, but again, even with the drastic brightness difference (read really unbelievable!), glare (even on high beam) doesn't seem as blinding to me as typical low beam reflector halogens. Speaking of glare, I've also noticed that the glare from other driver's headlights doesn't bother me as much as it used to either. Perhaps having so much more light on the road makes my eyes adjust enough to make them less sensitive. To make a long story short, if you are thinking about these, BUY THEM! The only possible negative I can see is if you aren't used to projectors, it may take you a few days to get used to the sharp (really sharp) cutoff these produce. The quality of everyting I received is excellent, the installation was straitforward, and the performance STILL blows my mind. Again, buy them, be safe, and be happy!

The Spyder projectors I bought had a garbage output with HID bulbs and the halogens were weak. This kit solved that problem. I've never done a retro before and there was quite a bit of trimming to do on the projectors adjustable mounts, but with some patience and a steady hand, it was done. Great kit and awesome output! I couldn't be happier!

The FOUR letter words are Love and Best! Serious face! Love how easy this kit was to install. Best quality when it comes to the adapter used to retro the Acme into the horrid Spyder projectors place! The light output of the Acme standard is beautiful! Now my wife's Tahoe looks like a football stadium coming down the road when switched to high beams! With high/lows wired up, it has quad brights!
This kit was installed on a 2009 Tahoe. Bottom line: Poetry in lighting.
Quick and easy, but don't let your guard down
Super easy to trim and replace the halogen projectors in the spyder Pontiac Grand Prix headlights. This ease of projector swap can make you forget about the basics though. Unfortunately spyder didn't have the halogen projectors level out of the box, so the retrofit was out of rotation as well.
Regardless of this mishap, it really simplified the process for replacing projectors on spyder lights. I definitely recommend, but make sure that the rotation is correct out of the box before starting this project.
