INSTALLATION DOCUMENTS

Profile Performance: The automotive aftermarket's best name in LED Lighting and when it comes to Switchback LED Halos; easily the one that gets our nod of approval. Fact is that while the rest of the industry is busy sticking their name on a generic or standing still with the same-old same-old; Profile is working hand-in-hand with the industry's experts to keep pumping out the products with the performance that we all expect. Their Profile Pivot Switchback Halos are perfection so satisfying that we're left without anything else to ask for.

Switchback: The Profile Pivot Switchback Halos are designed to run full-time in their bright white setting, and [when signaled to do so by your turn signal circuit] flash amber. When the signal stops, these halo LED lights will automatically return to white, just like any modern luxury car would. They can also be wired for use as a bright Amber-only or White-only halo if that's what you want. Just wire up the appropriate input(s) and you're ready to roll!

Intensity and Uniformity: Profile's unique blend of phosphorous silicone coats the front face of the Pivot Switchback Halos and is responsible for their neutral "white when off" look and their amazing intensity which is unlike anything else on the market. The proprietary coating process ensures perfect uniformity without any hot/dark spots, bumps, runs, or other imperfections found on coated rings found elsewhere.

Super Amber: These halo LED lights' smart drivers are programmed to temporarily bump the power to the amber LED's when they first illuminate. So what? You get the best of both worlds. A switchback halo with an insanely bright amber turn signal, and also one that can work reliably as a full-time amber halo! (because the over-driven amber output is so brief, chip reliability is unaffected)

Simplicity: Wiring the Profile Pivot Switchback Halos is super easy. Their advanced LED drivers control all of the functions and only require a 3-wire input. The white wire receives a constant 12V+. The black wire is grounded, and the orange wire is tapped into the turn signal circuit.

EZ-Mount:There are three micro-mounts integrated into their backing, making the Pivot the easiest and cleanest switchback halos on the market to install. (Patent Pending) Now you can forget about failing glue or wires wrapped around the face of your angel eyes. Don't be "that guy" with dripping glue or picture hanging wire visible inside your headlights.

Reliability: The innovative Hybrid-LED technology delivers a virtually infinite lifespan of 50,000 hours. That's almost six straight years! Because they're based on much more stable and mature SMD-LEDs; they are considerably more reliable between hot/cold cycles compared to "new" COB based halos. The Pivot drivers are refined to work reliably on all modern cars/trucks, and are completely potted inside to avoid moisture-related problems.

If we sell it, then you bet we've put it to the test on our own cars, trucks, and bikes. Need a recommendation on parts for your project? Got a tech question? Wholesale inquiry? Contact us!

Great quality

They work very well and the overall build quality is very nice. Easy to wire as well. I have always loved the halo look, it totally changes the appearance of the car.

Let's clarify...

by

First and foremost, these are a fantastic product and extremely well built. And the packaging is super nice. The Profile branding is so badass. However, I have two MINOR concerns and things I want to point out:

1.) These DO NOT come with the black/green wire sheathing that you see in the pictures. This is a bit mis-leading but not a terribly big deal. I would have liked them to either be shipped with the black/green sheathing or just black sheathing. Why? that brings me to point #2..

2.) The wires on these are EXTREMELY skinny. Now I know that a bigger gauge wire wouldn't be totally necessary, but it sure would have made me feel a bit better while handling them.

Of course these two things are minor and can be easily fixed with your own addition of wire sheathing (which I would recommend anyways)

I also read a few negative reviews that I wanted to address:

First, someone mentioned something about a "fade" effect when switching back and forth from white to amber. While there IS a fade effect when turning on/off and when switching, it only takes around 1 second AT MOST to change. And, I noticed that when going from white to amber it is almost instant, but when going from amber to white it takes about 1 second at most. So, that means there is little to no lag time from when you activate your turn signal to when they switch to amber. But, there is about a 1 second delay from when deactivate your turn signal for them to switch back to a full-intense white. Second, someone mentioned that the coating on their halos was peeling and flaking off. I personally did not have an issue with this but I can see how this could happen if you aren’t careful. It has an odd, tacky and rubber-like coating that I could see being very delicate. I actually got a 50-50 alcohol and water solution to wipe them clean before finally sealing them inside the headlight. I’m not sure if you are or are not supposed to do this but it seemed to remove a smudge or two that got on the coating while installing. My advice would be to keep them in the box until its time to install, then gently wipe clean right before sealing them up. And lastly, I saw a comment about the white mode having a blue-is tint. This couldn’t be further from the truth. While technically they probably lean closer to blue than yellow, these are PURE WHITE. With the help of the coating on the rings, they produce a true white that you’d be hard to find anywhere else.

Outstanding BRIGHT WHITE LED's!

by

First off, let me say that some of the comments below (Mainly those from Eric) made me skeptical. I even called TRS to ask them if this was true, which they said no, these are white, not a tint of blue. I took the leap of faith and couldn't be happier. These are AMAZING! They are bright white, like 5500K white (the perfect white!). These look amazing. Trust me, don't trust Eric, he's got no idea what he's talking about (or he's colorblind)

(TRS Comment: Eric probably had the XSB 1.0 halos, which did have a slight blue tinge to their white light, whereas the XSB 2.0 does not)

Perfectly Executed design

by

Threw a pair of 80mm XSBs in my Mini Graphite shrouds and was blow away at the brightness of the DRL function. No issues seeing these in the daylight at all.

Very simple hookup, the Amber looks great with my auxiliary turn signals, just need to find a 3157 bulb that matches.

Shine!

by

Uniformity. YES. Durability. YES. Easy DRL/switchback function. YES. Totally impressed with these babies! Only drawback is that these halos have a heavier tint of blue than previous versions. More of a 65k feel as opposed to the 5500k that it says it is. The amber is a more "orange" feel than that hyper sunkist orange color. Amber is great in my book, hopefully next batch will definitely fix the white, into a pure point blank white. Thanks again TRS!

Switchback needs improvement

by

Everything is great about these halos except the switchback function. The fade on feature looks awesome until you turn your indicators back on too quickly. It has to wait for the entire fade effect to complete before blinking amber again. So, if you're like me and have a non-switchback indicator visible as well, they are gonna start blinking while your switchback halos are still fading back to white then starts blinking with the rest when effect is done. Doesn't look very good.

The best there is

by

Extremely bright halos. Can see both the white and amber colors very clearly and easily in direct sunlight even with the headlights on. They are also the cleanest I've ever seen because they look like a solid ring not just individual LEDs. And the white is pure white there is no tint of blue. Easy to install and wire up. Very quality build. These are by far the best looking and cleaned looking halos on the market and at an extremely reasonable price compared to the competition.

The 2.0 halos are great

by

These halos are a huge upgrade. I love how bright they are from the 1.0. These are also less blue. They are actually white.

They look amazing!

by

I just got my 2 pairs of halos for my 2004 Acura TL. Just had them installed and tested them and man and they look amazing! First mod on my car and I'm impressed on how they turned out compared to other halos I've seen out there. I'm very happy with the quality and brightness although I got a little disappointed as far as shipping but it was worth the wait. Looking forward to purchase more products from TRS. Thanks TRS!
