Renowned: The Morimoto Elite Systems have earned their reputation amongst many as the aftermarket's best set of HID's. We urge you to check out the specs below, read the reviews, and then ask yourself whether your ability to see well while driving at night is worth saving a couple bucks?
HID Ballasts: Designed in California by Morimoto's engineer, Yoshi Ishida, the Morimoto XB 2.0 HID Ballasts are just as good looking on the outside as they are well-engineered on the inside. They are available in both 35w and 50w versions, use proprietary software by the pros at Hylux paired with packaging perfection from the masters at Morimoto. This is today's most modern iteration of a model that has sold more than half a million units since inception, and we don't think it can really get any better!
XB HID Bulbs: Homegrown by Morimoto to out-perform any alternatives on the market when installed in projector-based headlight--and it shows. We admit the latest generation XB HID are pretty impressive when compared to other bulbs, and even older Morimoto bulbs. At the heart of the XB bulbs is their perfectly-aligned 100% Philips quartz glass capsule that houses high quality halide salts from German-supplier Messer. In our annual lux comparison test, they produced nearly the same luminosity (intensity) as the industry benchmark Osram CBI bulbs at 5500K. No, you're not seeing things here, but yes you will be seeing everything at night.
Wire Harness: As one of the most important parts in any HID lighting upgrade; don't skimp out when it comes to your wiring. It doesn't matter how good your ballasts are. How good your bulbs are. If your harness is a piece of crap, when it gives out your headlights are gonzo. Morimoto's harnesses are the best on the market and easily worth their premium price compared to cheaper alternatives. No matter which one is right for your application, the harness features triple-sealed central relay packs, 14ga stranded copper wiring, over-molded fittings, and plug-n-play functionality. This will ensure everything properly (and permanently) works with your vehicle's original in-cabin controls.
Optional Canbus Harnesses: Instead of a traditional relayed harness that draws power from the battery, Morimoto's Standalone Canbus harnesses use two individual sub-harnesses to keep a load on the factory wiring. Recommended for vehicles that recognize when a bulb is out, these contain a series of capacitors and resistors to trick the car into thinking nothing has changed and help you avoid annoying "bulb out" warnings. We generally recommend them for use on most modern European applications instead of normal harnesses since they do a great job at providing stable power to the ballasts and canceling any warnings.
Backed Up: Let's not forget the 5-year warranty on the entire kit*. The Elite system is designed to run for 2500 hours, so that's what it's guaranteed for. Don't buy into empty promises from other places offering BS "lifetime" warranties. Nothing lasts forever, and if you think "the other guy" will be there to pick up the phone or even stay in business long enough to assist you when there's a problem; guess again! [*XB55 880 HID kits have a 3 year warranty]
User-Approved: By satisfied enthusiasts with all kinds of cars and trucks. With a quick and easy search we pulled up install examples (1,2,3,4,5,6) that span several generations of the Elite HID systems! If you haven't made a decision just yet, keep reading!

Great kit, bulb

Great kit, bulb warmup time is comparable to factory hids. This will blow your ebay kit out of the water hands down. I had also purchased other kits which were nowhere near the quality of this kit, I will never purchase hids from anywhere else ever again.

After some modifications for bulb mounting, these Moris rocks. Here's my analysis and end results of the H7 Elite setup:
<br>1. The bulbs are "thicker" than any other of the setups I installedd. And it shows bright as ..... ,even for the 35w setup. It literally show like the 55w knock-outs that I had before if not brighter.
<br>2. Wiring harness: these are professionally constructed, ensuring the current to reach the bulbs.
<br>3 Ballasts and SAC: they ensure the correct "wattage" for the fact of the "Low Beam" error to not appear
<br>End result: Morimoto Elite are top notch and worth every penny given. The CSR (Customer Rep) know what I want and need, not to mention he's from where I was born and raised (similarly close, ECHS INDIANS). i am convinced that I will visit here more for other products for other project (HALOS WITH TURNING SIGNAL FUNCTION). Thank you TRS, you have helped me to solve an issue that I have been dealing with for at least 3 years.

First these kits are nicely made with covering over the wires for a clean look and protection from nicks. The connectors either amp style or other fit perfectly. The bulbs have nice colors to choose from with metal bases on some, all professional looking gear. The ballasts are slim and come with metal mounting and so far are working great with no errors or problems from my cars computer. Packaging was nicely prepared and shipped quickly with information and decals for both company and the brand! If thinking of another brand or place do your homework and you'll see that this place knows cars.

Installation was fairly straightforward, took less than an hour.
<br> I have aftermarket projector headlamps (not Spyder) and the light output was quite satisfying with halogens in them. Since having HIDs before, I knew I'd eventually go back to them, and surprisingly enough these perform outstandingly well even though the projector was designed for halogens.
<br>I still have the center hotspot as I should, still a very visible and colorful "step" in the center, so bulb position is on par with the halogens (somehow). Light distribution is just as even as before, if not more-so. Obviously my light output could be much better with a retrofitted projector, but I don't have the money for that right now and I'm satisfied with how it looks.
<br>Thanks TRS for yet another amazing product!

I order a H7: Morimoto Elite HID System 55w to install in my 2012 Mazda 6, I had previously had a HID system installed but it turn out to be a cheap knock off. I had the system for about 6 month and the screw holes on the ballasts were rusting away; the passenger side head light eventually went out "dangerous". I did about two weeks of research and came to find the "H7: Morimoto Elite HID System". The quality of the harness and ballasts were exactly what I wanted and to be honest beyond what I expected. The install was fairly easy and was quick, around 1 hours to complete "keep in mind I included the time it took to lift my car and take off the wheels" It been about a month and the lights are super bright, brighter than the old HID system that I had before. This works for the 2014 (other years/4th gen) RAM 1500 with projector style headlights from Ebay with a H7 low beam bulb.
<br>this kit works BUT MAKE SURE you select the for "wire harness" the H7 canbus adapter, and you will not need the cap link option with it.
<br> side note: the standalone canbus adapter will work, if you already have HID bulbs and 35w ballast, and yes this kit will come with the grommet required to run the housings through the back of the dust cap, if you purchased those headlights housings you'll know what i'm talking about. quick easy painless install and works excellent, what i expected it to look like, anyway I always come to TRS for my HID needs. good group of people.

I've installed MANY HID systems in the past and have always dealt with lower quality systems, some DOA and others with problems surfacing months down the road. What I can say thus far regarding the Morimoto Elite package is that the build quality of these are far... FAR beyond anything I've purchased in the past. They work excellent and came with everything I expected. As for TheRetrofitSource, you'll not find this level of customer service ANYWHERE else. I definitely recommend.

<br>no flicker, no bulb out warnings on the dash. this will do the trick
<br>select your bulb color/style, they do come with the dust cap grommet needed to install these for both headlights.

7th Gen Celica Upgrade
TYSON PEARSON Reviewed: 3/29/2019 6:14:16 am
I bought this kit with the Capacitor Link since I was in need of a massive upgrade to my lights and also had new headlights on order.
<br>I was initially going to install them right away but I made myself wait. I'm glad I waited because everything just comes together much nicer while also being exceptionally bright to where I can see clearly even with tinted windows (80%).
<br>Now I can see a lot better at night and that's a big deal since there are deer EVERYWHERE and I primarily drive at night. Sucks having to use your brights to see because you gotta turn them off when other drivers or riders are passing or in sight. The projectors are adjusted properly and not only do the 55W ballasts and 5500K lights looks great aesthetically, it also just looks a lot better where the beams are. A nice neutral white like I want and I can even see potholes and other things my car really doesn't like very clearly.
<br>Installation was relatively easy but in the Celica there really isn't anywhere that great to mount them, so I've had to make some mounts.
<br>All-in-all I have fallen in love with this HID kit. I've had a couple other kits before but I won't name those brands as it's a little embarrassing. Whenever I get my next car and bike, I know which kit to buy and where to buy them from.
