Elite HID: The Morimoto Elite Systems offer some of the best high performance bulbs, ballasts, and wiring systems available as an all-in-one upgrade kit. You might be able to track down a cheaper alternative out there, but you’d have to pay a heck of a lot more to find anything that could match its overall quality and performance. Check out the specs below and read the Reviews to hear how your fellow auto enthusiasts like the H11 HID conversion kit.
Totally Customized: Whether you’re looking for 35W ballasts and 3000K bulbs or 50W ballasts with 6500K bulbs, the Morimoto HID kits we carry can be configured to your specific requirements. We’ve linked to this helpful video that provides more information on your options. Still not sure which to select? Don’t be afraid to ask. That’s what we’re here for.
HID Ballasts: Where should we start with the latest generation of Morimoto XB ballasts? The industrial-edge design by California native Artur Saakyan is undeniably cool. They’re crazy efficient, thanks to the latest DSP circuit technology. They also warm up to full operating intensity in a flash, like all good ballasts should. And, they’re designed to reduce any chance of failures and misfires while producing the lowest possible levels of electromagnetic radio interference. We’re sold! How about you?
H11 HID Bulbs: We’ve been impressed with Morimoto HID bulbs for quiet a while now, and judging from how many we’ve been shipping, so are many of you. However, this latest iteration of the XB HID really opened our eyes with some ultra intense and efficient light. The key is an automated manufacturing process that ensures the precise alignment of each 100% Philips Quartz glass bulb. It takes a little more time, but Morimoto is dedicated to getting it right.
H11A vs. H11B? Make the right choice on which HID bulb you require with the help of this Picture and Video. Choosing the wrong product can result in the presence of a shadow in your light output. We’ve found the H11B tends to work with most newer Japanese vehicles, while the H11A (regardless of what stock size states) matches the fitment of most Hyundai/Kia models.
Wire Harness: Good in the past and almost perfect with the latest generation, Morimoto makes the best wire harness on the aftermarket. You get the ease of plug-n-play functionality in a harness that will provide precision power and signal delivery to your ballasts and bulbs. Will they last? A triple-sealed central 40A relay and over-molded fittings keep moisture out. Do they look good? Yup, just like OEM thanks to an abrasion resistant Tech-flex mesh material covering the 14-gauge stranded copper wiring.
Canbus Harnesses: If you own a vehicle that’s designed to deter modifications by recognizing when original components have been removed, a special Morimoto Standalone Canbus harness is available with the H11 HID kit. Rather than getting a “bulb out” warning, as is common when retrofitting the lighting on many European automobiles, the replacement harness utilizes clever modern technology to essentially hide the fact that anything has been changed from the vehicle’s ECU.
Warrantied: We’re able to confidently offer a 5-year warranty on the H11 HID kit* and all of its components. Morimoto Elite Systems are designed to run for 2,500 hours, and we’ll happily honor that guarantee to the very last minute. You’ll see a lot of crazy claims online about lifetime warranties that are best taken with a grain of salt. Chances are whoever doesn’t recognize there’s a life span on lighting components probably won’t still be around when you do experience a problem. The Retrofit Source has been in business for well over a decade, and we’re not going anywhere anytime soon. [*XB55 kits have 3-year warranty]
Put To Action: As real car guys who can’t resist a good mod or upgrade, we really get a kick out of seeing folks pleased with the product we sell. Check out these examples (1,2,3,4,5,6) that cover a range of installs of Elite HID system generations for some inspiration in tackling your next project.

I bought 1 pair for may 2010 ford fusion, i did liked such results and then i bought another one for the fog lights!
now im completly satisfacted.
I've owned several HID kits in the past...all other brands. At some point, I end up here to replace a relay or a ballast or a wire...
Parts from here have never failed me. When I got a new car, it came with projectors with halogen bulbs. That wasn't cutting it. I ordered a kit and install was easy.
That night I was amazed. This is my first complete kit I've bought from TRS and it blows everything else away.
It was so good, that I got the same kit for my 77 year old dad. He can see much better at night and that means he and you are more safe!
My only suggestion would be to lengthen the harness that supplies power to the passenger side ballast.
I can understand the additional work that I need to do since you don't have a setup for my 2015 Subaru Outback. The harness is short on the passenger side. I had to add about a foot. The OEM input adapter is designed for ground-type power source so I had to pull out and reverse the "male pins" for a (+) positive power source connection. I am anal when it comes to RED and Black wires. Other than that it works and its bright enough for me.
3 days after my order the morimoto h11 elite kit showed up. 3 hours later I was waiting for the sun to set with the kit installed. This is my first project of this kind and was extremely hesitant to do it. Why did I not do this 3 years ago when I bought my car. I have the same cutoff, haven't been flashed in the week I've had them installed. 35w morimoto with 4500k h11 morimoto lamps. I used the stand- alone canbus harness as recommended by Carlos (the best customer service employee ever) and was easier than I could have imagined. All of the install guides are a click away and well drawn and very precise. THANK YOU TRS!!!
I hardly every do reviews but I had to for this because they are that good!!! If you are second thinking about buying this or not the simple answer is go for it. That was me at first but I bite the bullet and bought. And WOW its night and day difference. First off, I drive a 2014 Honda Accord Ex I hated the OEM yellow and the light output isn't so great either. But when I switch to these WOW. I can see everything in front of me now it lights up the road so well. At least twice as brighter. These took me about 3-4 hours on installing that's because I never installed any lights before and this was my first time attempting it. Its pretty straight forward.
I've had these amazing HID's on my 2015 Mazda CX-5 for two weeks now and I cant complain about anything. The best bang for your bucks. I literally can see much better. Have not had anyone HI-beam me at all. The light output is perfect and they look real nice at night. I highly recommend these HID's for anyone looking for an upgrade without hurting their pockets!
Installed this kit with the standalone canbus and had absolutely no errors or flickering. Install took about 1 hour the hardest part was finding room to mount the ballasts, igniter, and canbus . I got the five5 kit and they are very bright I plan on tinting the headlights which is why I went with the five5 instead of the three5 and I am very glad I did. It is strangely satisfying sitting at a light next to someone else with HIDs and drowning out theirs. I installed a set of the better cheap (kensun) ones you can get on amazon in my fiances van and you can definitely tell the quality with this system. I can say without a doubt I will be dealing with morimoto equipment and the retrofit source in the future. To 2nd gen fusion owners you do not have to take the front bumper completely off just take the top fasteners and bolts out and the ones ones on the edge of the tire well that you have to screw then just pull it forward and there will be plenty of space to pull the headlight out.
i used to think all HID kits were the same. i used to think the expensive kits were all hype to get people to spend more money, thinking they are getting better lights = BOY WAS I WRONG. the build quality is better than most OEM kits! the light output is mind-blowing compared to the cheap 'auction' kits you can get for $40 shipped. i will NEVER go back to the cheap stuff. the difference is absolutely undeniable.
-do a test: install one Morimoto kit in one headlight, and an 'auction' style cheapo kit in the other headlight = see the difference for yourself.
I installed this on my 2011 Sierra 1500 with the anti-flicker capacitor and 35W ballasts with 5500K bulb (H11A). It fired up first attempt, no flickering and superior light output to the stock halogen H11. The relay harness could have been maybe 12" longer for the opposite side ballast. I mounted the relay to my left fender and it barely reached the right ballast that was inboard of the headlight. I was really impressed with the packaging and quality of the parts, they really do have an OEM quality to them. The instructions online are pretty straightforward with good diagrams, a printed sheet inside the box would have been nice. One of the orange brackets on a ballast came off as the screws stripped out, the screws need to be longer that are holding the brackets on, they are only holding by a couple of threads and a bit of tugging with zip-ties during installation caused them to pull out. If not for the short wiring and bracket fail, this kit would get 5 stars! Overall very happy with it... Well worth the price!
I bought these bright guys on Sunday May 22nd delivered Thursday and I installed them on Friday. I installed them in a 2012 Toyota Highlander. The installation was nice and clean and out side of the wires that connect to the battery you can't see any wires. That is one thing that i liked most about this setup is the fact that the wires are easy to hide. Of course i love the fact that it got rid of my kitchen table lights that i had going on before and i can actually see the road. Thanks for the quick shipment. Definitely recommend for the people who depend on other people reviews like I do.
