Renowned: The Morimoto Elite Systems have earned their reputation amongst many as the aftermarket's best set of HID's. We urge you to check out the specs below, read the reviews, and then ask yourself whether your ability to see well while driving at night is worth saving a couple bucks?
HID Ballasts: Designed in California by Morimoto's engineer, Yoshi Ishida, the Morimoto XB 2.0 HID Ballasts are just as good looking on the outside as they are well-engineered on the inside. They are available in both 35w and 50w versions, use proprietary software by the pros at Hylux paired with packaging perfection from the masters at Morimoto. This is today's most modern iteration of a model that has sold more than half a million units since inception, and we don't think it can really get any better!
XB HID Bulbs: Homegrown by Morimoto to out-perform any alternatives on the market when installed in fog lights--and it shows. We admit the latest generation XB HID are pretty impressive when compared to other bulbs, and even older Morimoto bulbs. At the heart of the XB bulbs is their perfectly-aligned 100% Philips quartz glass capsule that houses high quality halide salts from German-supplier Messer. In our annual lux comparison test, they produced nearly the same lumin Osity (intensity) as the industry benchmark Osram CBI bulbs at 5500K. No, you're not seeing things here, but yes you will be seeing everything at night.
Wire Harness: As one of the most important parts in any HID lighting upgrade; don't skimp out when it comes to your wiring. It doesn't matter how good your ballasts are. How good your bulbs are. If your harness is a piece of crap, when it gives out your fog lights are gonzo. Morimoto's harnesses are the best on the market and easily worth their premium price compared to cheaper alternatives. No matter which one is right for your application, the harness features triple-sealed central relay packs, 14ga stranded copper wiring, over-molded fittings, and plug-n-play functionality. This will ensure everything properly (and permanently) works with your vehicle's original in-cabin controls.
Optional Canbus Harnesses: Instead of a traditional relayed harness that draws power from the battery, Morimoto's Standalone Canbus harnesses use two individual sub-harnesses to keep a load on the factory wiring. Recommended for vehicles that recognize when a bulb is out, these contain a series of capacitors and resistors to trick the car into thinking nothing has changed and help you avoid annoying "bulb out" warnings. We generally recommend them for use on most modern European applications instead of normal harnesses since they do a great job at providing stable power to the ballasts and canceling any warnings.
Backed Up: Let's not forget the 5-year warranty on the entire kit*. The Elite system is designed to run for 2500 hours, so that's what it's guaranteed for. Don't buy into empty promises from other places offering BS "lifetime" warranties. Nothing lasts forever, and if you think "the other guy" will be there to pick up the phone or even stay in business long enough to assist you when there's a problem; guess again! [*XB55 880 HID kits have a 3 year warranty]
User-Approved: By satisfied enthusiasts with all kinds of cars and trucks. With a quick and easy search we pulled up install examples (1,2,3,4,5,6) that span several generations of the Elite HID systems! If you haven't made a decision just yet, keep reading!

Factory lighting is wack, couldnt be any more satisfied with the outcome. I have Retro FXR's in my 2Gen Taco and it was a no brainer to go with TRS again for my lighting soluation. Light output should have been like this from the factory, toyota...failed, TRS win win! Took my time and got everything laid out and it couldnt be an easier. I would recommend you get a set for yourself..you wont be disappointed and I'm not just saying it! Retro FXR's in my Taco and H11 Elite HID in my 4Runner...customer for life!

"Just got my H11 Morimoto Elite HID kit for my 5th Gen 4Runner, got to say, well worth the money, my favorite mod to date on my rig. Light output should have been like this from the factory, toyota...failed, TRS...win win! Took my time and got everything laid out and it couldnt be any easier. I got this kit for my 2011 Mazda 3 Sedan. Installation was very easy. All the connections are labelled so it's hard to go wrong. The parts all seem to be of excellent quality.
I got the 5500K bulbs. The color is pure white. In retrospect, I would have preferred the cool blue 6500K. These would have also been a better match for my new 6000K led fog lights.
My only problem is that I see a lot of ground shadows. I'll contact support to see if there is a solution otherwise I will just live with it.
I did a whole lot of research on HID lighting for my KIA Sorento SX before landing here on TRS. Boy am I glad I did, I've seen a lot of people in my town driving around with HID lighting and so far mine look much higher end than a majority of them. People stare at the lights as I pass by (6500k). Installation was simple and the quality of the components and the finesse of the sleeving colors shows that these guys truly care about quality and customer assurance. Thank you TRS for making my first experience with you a great one. Customer for life now.
Awesome HID kit on the Market!
I got my first HID kit from TRS back in 2008. i ordered the Morimoto 5FIVE (50w)kit, and guess what! still working fine until now 2015. All i can say 5 star Quality, 5 star Longevity and 5 star Brightness.
This New Kit i ordered is the Elite system with a XB35. The output is awesome like the Stock Acura. Hope it will last as my 5FIVE kit. Thanks TRS.......
Awesome HID System! I can finally see at night.
I got the 6000k 35W H11 XB35 through all of the positive previous reviews on the forum I frequented. Gotta say, this is by far the best money I've spent for my car so far. I'd recommend these in a heartbeat.
Only thing is, there needs to be a better guide/video for the guys that aren't particularly handy and their first time doing something like this. I could probably do this in significantly less time if there was one but I did it nevertheless.
Awesome HID system, great light output!
The Morimoto Elite HID system seems to be spectacular so far. I installed this on my 2012 Kia Sportage. There was a little modification needed since the power plug in this car is a bit different but nothing you can't handle with some wire cutters and an H11 pigtail. I've only been running the lights for about a day now but wow these things kick the crap out of an LEDs I have tried in my projectors, great pattern, great distance, great color. All around awesome!
Awesome lighting upgrade
2009 Kia Rondo
H11B, 4500K, 35W Ballast, HD Relay
Wanted to upgrade to brighter lights. I had tried other, brighter bulbs but they die
within a year and just not worth the money. I decided to take the plunge to HID's.
The install was as easy as described. Just plug everything into each other on the
Only challenge was the cars H11B connector. I had to cut the harnesses H11 plug off and
install 2 flat spade connectors, plug them into the cars harness and black tape it all
together. Good connection and lights are awesome. What a difference between the OEM
lights and the HID's.
Please watch 55 second video showing OEM's compared to HID's. Same stretch of road at
same time of morning. Recorded OEM on Friday morning and HID's Monday morning after
weekend install. Recorded with PaPaGo Dashcam.
I got the kit in two days! I've had many hids kits before and this is by far the highest quality kit I've seen! I visited the store in Atlanta and the customer service was awesome there as well. Well only go with trs again in the future!
Awesome when they work
Absolutely love the bulb temp as they are true and not cheap looking. Very close to factory Toyota. Everything seems to be of high quality. I received a dead bulb somehow which was taken care of immediately but now one side does not turn on but will after sitting there flipping lights on and off for a minute or two. It was only one side but now seems to be random on both side. Contacted customer support but they want me self diagnose but i don't have the time as i work 2 full time jobs. Customer support kept telling me their product is the best on the market which is extremely annoying since I have already had 2 problems in less than a 1.5 half of use. Like I said, I love the bulb temp but its just not worth my time or headache. I will have to re-check my install to ensure all connections are tight.
