No Comparison: When it comes to HID bulbs, Morimoto has always brought us the best in the aftermarket, and their latest examples are no exception. Sure we think the options from Philips and Osram are great too, but when it comes to bang for the buck - nothing compares to the Morimoto XB HID lineup. Compatible with 35W and 55W: The XB's will produce more lumens, last longer, project farther, and look better doing it.
Luminosity: At the heart of the XB D3S bulbs is their perfectly aligned 100% Philips quartz glass that houses a capsule from APL-USA. Using high quality halide salts from German-supplier Messer; these Morimoto HID replacement bulbs produce nearly the same luminosity (intensity) as the amazing Osram CBI bulbs at 5500K. No, you're not seeing things here, but yes you will be seeing everything at night. In our Comparison to the big brands; Morimoto's XB capsule ran with the best of em!
Long Life: The Austrian-sourced Plansee electrodes help keep the bulbs running brighter for longer. In comparison to a Philips bulb with 200 hours of use; the Morimoto HID replacement bulbs will maintain 83% of its intensity whereas the Philips bulb will retain 86%. Yeah, the Philips maintains a little longer, but this kind of longevity is unheard of in the aftermarket. We're impressed!
Precise Alignment: Morimoto's Symmetry-Structure frame surrounds the base of the glass capsule keeping everything properly lined up, which is paramount when it comes to HID bulbs. In the past we all agreed that precision wasn't the strong suit for the XB bulbs...but the latest are indeed the greatest - and they're now consistently well-aligned, which is a good thing - because it means the output is also consistently bright and uniform throughout. [Applause]
Reliability: Not that we recommend this for any HID bulb, but go ahead and fire it up 100 times in a row or even run it underwater for days at a time and the difference between the XB and any so called "competition" will be clear. These Morimoto HID replacement bulbs will even work with OEM Nissan/Infiniti (Matsushita/Panasonic) ballasts, which are notorious for compatibility problems on anything aftermarket.
Compliance: The XB replacement HID bulbs are built to industry-standard specifications and meet/exceed all SAE, DOT, and ECE requirements, making them a perfect match for a replacement bulb or upgrade! They have been tested for reliability with all ballasts from Morimoto, Denso, Hella, Bosch, and Koito and passed with ease.

I went with the 6500K see if the lights had that hint of blue. id say they don't, they only look blue as they startup initially. the light is super white though and matches my DRL LED (Audi) perfectly.
Back in 2017 I made my initial review, and I am not sure what happened as it was 1 star. That was totally not the case. I have had these since they were released, and I have not needed to replace them yet! I cannot see a way to edit my rating, so here is a correct one.
Loved Morimoto, have their H7 HIDs, 5500k, they perform great, the 5500k D3S was also good, but I decided to replace by well established brand Xenarc CBI after year of use... I'd say get the brand right away...
I replaced my Dodge Dart D3S stock HIDs with these. They were more of the stock 4300k, which is normal. I found it to be too yellow for HID, especially compared to the Chargers and other cars in the line up that use the same bulb. So I replaced these out maybe 2+ years ago, and they are still performing just as they did when new. They are excellent in color (5500k), and would buy again when these burn out. I still have perfectly good Philips bulbs that I pulled out of the car, and when these go out I will be getting a replacement pair ASAP. The stock ones are not going back in the car.
I buy all of my Morimoto bulbs from TRS. This is at least my 5th or 6th purchase and I come back due to the customer service. They stand behind their products and are willing to help every step of the way. I have the 5500k and they are a beautiful white at night.
if you want brightness and price
morimoto bulb is your choice
Excellent light output, definitely whiter than the oem 4200k.
Easy install, good fitment. Order the 5500k, good light output white with hint of blue. Hope it last long.
