OEM: Osram 66240CLC D2S is a budget-yet-OEM replacement for the Osram 66040 or 66240, which are original equipment on many modern Japanese and German cars today.
Entry Level Competition: Though it's Osram's 'base model' we find that hard to consider. Osram 66240CLC's have all the same specs as the 85122+ as far as Kelvin, rated lifetime, and also has the same style metal base to ensure a precise, uniform, and clean beam pattern.

Replacement for OEM bulbs in my kid's 08 GTI. Took about 2 hours to install both, dropped the grill and bumper cap and pulled headlights and installed. Bulbs look great, not too yellow! Very close in color to the original bulbs. Ordered these on Monday and Retrofit Source had them to me in New Mexico on Wednesday....great company and super fast shipping.
Quality bulbs, underrated IMO

Pretty good bulbs for those who don't want to spend $175 on nightbreakers, throw a lot of usable light and seem to be brighter than the comparable 85122. Excellent support and shipping speed from TRS as usual.
