HID Ballasts: Morimoto’s XB ballasts are a functional work of art. While the industrial-edge design by California native Artur Saakyan looks great from the outside, they’re packed with too much modern tech on the inside to cover it all in on place. Their DSP 3.0 circuit maximizes reliability, input and output efficiency. Their ability to warm the bulbs up to full operating intensity quickly is matched by few. Hardly are all aftermarket-HID ballasts the same, and the XB’s make that clear in most every category in our opinion.

H11 HID Bulbs: Homegrown by Morimoto to out-perform any alternatives on the market when installed in projector-based headlight…and it shows. We admit the latest generation XB HID bulbs are pretty impressive when compared to other bulbs, and even older Morimoto bulbs. At the heart of the XB bulbs is their perfectly-aligned 100% Philips quartz glass capsule that houses high quality halide salts from German-supplier Messer. In our annual lux comparison test, they produced nearly the same luminosity (intensity) as the industry benchmark Osram CBI bulbs at 5500K. No, you're not seeing things here, but yes you will be seeing everything at night.

H11A vs. H11B? This is important to ensure you don't create a shadow in your light output! We can confirm fitment on most newer Japanese vehicles as needing H11B, and most Hyundai/Kia vehicles as needing "H11A" (regardless of what stock size states) This Picture and Video will help you make the right choice!

Wire Harness: As one of the most important parts in any HID lighting upgrade; don't skimp out when it comes to your wiring. It doesn't matter how good your ballasts are. How good your bulbs are. If your harness is a piece of crap, when it gives out your headlights are gonzo. Morimoto’s harnesses are the best on the market and easily worth their premium price compared to cheaper alternatives. No matter which one is right for your application, the harness features triple-sealed central relay packs, 14ga stranded copper wiring, over-molded fittings, and plug-n-play functionality. This will ensure everything properly (and permanently) works with your vehicle’s original in-cabin controls.

Optional Canbus Harnesses: Instead of a traditional relayed harness that draws power from the battery, Morimoto’s Standalone Canbus harnesses use two individual sub-harnesses to keep a load on the factory wiring. Recommended for vehicles that recognize when a bulb is out, these contain a series of capacitors and resistors to trick the car into thinking nothing has changed and help you avoid annoying "bulb out" warnings. We generally recommend them for use on most modern European applications instead of normal harnesses since they do a great job at providing stable power to the ballasts and canceling any warnings.

Backed Up: Let's not forget the 5-year warranty on the entire kit*. The Elite system is designed to run for 2500 hours, so that's what it's guaranteed for. Don't buy into empty promises from other places offering BS "lifetime" warranties. Less than 5 for not having a setup for my car :<(

I can understand the additional work that I need to do since you don't have a setup for my 2015 Subaru Outback. The harness is short on the passenger side. I had to add about a foot. The OEM input adapter is designed for ground-type power source so I had to pull out and reverse the "male pins" for a (+) positive power source connection. I am anal when it comes to RED and Black wires. Other than that it works and its bright enough for me.

WOW!! 13' Ford Fusion huge improvement

3 days after my order the morimoto h11 elite kit showed up. 3 hours later I was waiting for the sun to set with the kit installed. This is my first project of this kind and was extremely hesitant to do it. Why did I not do this 3 years ago when I bought my car. I have the same cutoff, haven't been flashed in the week I've had them installed. 35w morimoto with 4500k h11 morimoto lamps. I used the stand- alone canbus harness as recommended by Carlos (the best customer service employee ever) and was easier than I could have imagined. All of the install guides are a click away and well drawn and very precise. THANK YOU TRS!!!

One Word: AMAZING!

I hardly every do reviews but I had to for this because they are that good!!! If you are second thinking about buying this or not the simple answer is go for it. That was me at first but I bite the bullet and bought. And WOW its night and day difference. First off, I drive a 2014 Honda Accord Ex I hated the OEM yellow and the light output isn't so great either. But when I switch to these WOW. I can see everything in front of me now it lights up the road so well. At least twice as brighter. These took me about 3-4 hours on installing that's because I never installed any lights before and this was my first time attempting it. Its pretty straight forward.

Mazda CX-5 Looking Mean!

I've had these amazing HID's on my 2015 Mazda CX-5 for two weeks now and I cant complain about anything. The best bang for your bucks. I literally can see much better. Have not had anyone HI-beam me at all. The light output is perfect and they look real nice at night. I highly recommend these HID's for anyone looking for an upgrade without hurting their pockets!

2013 Ford Fusion S

Installed this kit with the standalone canbus and had absolutely no errors or flickering. Install took about 1 hour the hardest part was finding room to mount the ballasts, igniter, and canbus . I got the five5 kit and they are very bright I plan on tinting the headlights which is why I went with the five5 instead of the three5 and I am very glad I did. It is strangely satisfying sitting at a light next to someone else with HIDs and drowning out theirs. I installed a set of the better cheap (kensun) ones you can get on amazon in my fiances van and you can definitely tell the quality with this system. I can say without a doubt I will be dealing with morimoto equipment and the retrofit source in the future. To 2nd gen fusion owners you do not have to take the front bumper completely off just take the top fasteners and bolts out and the ones ones on the edge of the tire well that you have to screw then just pull it forward and there will be plenty of space to pull the headlight out.

WOW! WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

i used to think all HID kits were the same. i used to think the expensive kits were all hype to get people to spend more money, thinking they are getting better lights = BOY WAS I WRONG. the build quality is better than most OEM kits! the light output is mind-blowing compared to the cheap 'auction' kits you can get for $40 shipped. i will NEVER go back to the cheap stuff. the difference is absolutely undeniable.

-do a test: install one Morimoto kit in one headlight, and an 'auction' style cheapo kit in the other headlight = see the difference for yourself.

Excellent quality materials

I installed this on my 2011 Sierra 1500 with the anti-flicker capacitor and 35W ballasts with 5500K bulb (H11A). It fired up first attempt, no flickering and superior light output to the stock halogen H11. The relay harness could have been maybe 12" longer for the opposite side ballast. I mounted the relay to my left fender and it barely reached the right ballast that was inboard of the headlight. I was really impressed with the packaging and quality of the parts, they really do have an OEM quality to them. The instructions online are pretty straightforward with good diagrams, a printed sheet inside the box would have been nice. One of the orange brackets on a ballast came off as the screws stripped out, the screws need to be longer that are holding the brackets on, they are only holding by a couple of threads and a bit of tugging with zip-ties during installation caused them to pull out. If not for the short wiring and bracket fail, this kit would get 5 stars! Overall very happy with it... Well worth the price!

H11 are Great

I bought these bright guys on Sunday May 22nd delivered Thursday and I installed them on Friday. I installed them in a 2012 Toyota Highlander. The installation was nice and clean and out side of the wires that connect to the battery you can't see any wires. That is one thing that i liked most about this setup is the fact that the wires are easy to hide. Of course i love the fact that it got rid of my kitchen table lights that i had going on before and i can actually see the road. Thanks for the quick shipment. Definitely recommend for the people who depend on other people reviews like I do.

This kit was amazing! I bought this kit for a 2016 4Runner, the 35 watt, 5500k bulbs.
The 35watt is bright, and comes with a 5 year warrenty!! I would definitely buy this kit again, I am super impressed.

2015 Mazda 3 Install

My install went pretty much as expected from the standpoint that I had read previous installs on my specific vehicle and had somewhat of an idea of what I was getting into.

For my specific car, this is not simply a 1 - 1+ hour install. If you want to do it right, run wiring correctly, find a discreet and logical mounting location for ballasts and harness, and test everything, set aside 3-4 hours for the job.

Where I can only give 4 stars is that the bulb wire that is sent is generic for either an internally wired cannbus unit or an externally wired hd relay unit, but the average person wouldn't really know it and TRS nor Morimoto let you know that it can work for both. So I took my front fascia off on a Sunday, mounted everything, and had to put it all back together and wait until today for support, which I received and could complete the job. I know these aren't application specific so it's hard to tailor it to every model that uses H11.

The Morimoto quality is apparent from the packaging to the product. Once installed, everything fired up right away and looked phenomenal. The passenger side ballast is emitting a loud high pitched whine that I hope will subside shortly.

Regardless, anyone who has a Mazda 3 (or any car with halogen projectors) should definitely give the Morimoto system a shot. I am extremely happy.
