Inspired: The best of several product categories is represented in the industry-renowned Morimoto You get some of the most impressive bulbs, ballasts, and wiring available in one convenient set. Is it the cheapest option on the aftermarket? No, but is that what you’re really looking for? In our product tests, these 880 HID replacement kits rivaled the best. But don’t take our word for it — read the Reviews from other auto enthusiasts who have purchased them from The Retrofit Source, Inc.
Your Choice: There’s no use trying to fit a square peg into a round hole here. Morimoto 880 HID kits are customizable to your specific requirements. Watch this detailed video that goes over all your options, and get in touch with us if you need help with a product recommendation.
Big Time HID Ballasts: The latest generation of XB ballasts are the best we’ve seen from Morimoto. We’re talking twice as fast warm up times and a failure rate of 1% within 2,000 hours. They were smart in moving the high voltage igniters away from the internal circuitry, eliminating failures resulting from hot strikes while providing more focused energy to the bulb so there’s never a misfire. You have the choice between 35W and 50W ballasts when configuring a headlight replacement kit or an 880 fog light HID kit. Good looking and smart, too — what more could you want?
880 HID Bulbs: The fantastic range and quality of Morimoto high intensity discharge bulbs is on full display in Elite Systems. The 880 XB HIDbulbs included in the kit are designed to produce more lumens, last longer, project farther, and give your vehicle a modern look. We tested them against industry-best Osram CBI bulbs at 5500K, and the XBs offered nearly identical levels of luminosity. How did they do it? In addition to a perfectly aligned 100% Philips Quartz glass, Morimoto used halide salts sourced from German supplier Messer for the interior capsule and Plansee electrodes from Austria to engineer this nearly perfect HID bulb.
HD Relay Harness: Unless you like flickering headlights and unreliable performance, a harness is a critical part of any HID replacement kit. Morimoto relay harnesses are among the most trusted on the aftermarket for steady voltage delivery to the ballasts. While cheaper ballasts typically only have one relay to power two headlights, the harnesses in 880 HID conversion kits utilize one per side, so there’s no chance of failure. Triple sealed to keep out moisture, black mesh sleeving over the wiring to look like OEM — as total auto lighting nerds, we can go on and on about everything that’s right about these harnesses.
Canbus Capable: An optional Morimoto Standalone Canbus harness is available for projects where a traditional relay harness that draws power from the battery triggers a “bulb out” warning. This is often the case with modern European vehicles. There’s all kinds of technology at work to fool the system into thinking it hasn’t been modified, but here’s what you really need to know. It gets the job done delivering stable power to the HID system, and you won’t have to look at an annoying warning signal on your dashboard.
You're Covered: On the fence on whether this 880 HID fog light conversion or headlight conversion kit is worthy of your investment? We’ve been serving the industry for over a decade, and we are proud of our reputation for taking care of our customers. [*XB55 kits have a 3-year warranty]

I purchased this kit almost a year ago but didn't install it till about 8 months ago. I went to get it professionally installed since it is a little different than other cheaper kits and it turned out one side would turn on after I pressed my fog light button on and off twice, firing up the second time i turned on the kit. I contacted customer service and they were awesome!!!! Replaced my ballast, bulb, and even harness. The kit worked great for about 6-7mths til recently. That same side again has the same problem, I have to press it twice to get it to turn on. BUT I don't mind because they are AWESOMELY BRIGHT and are the first system that I think is truly 5K no blue at all!!! and they are brighter than a cheaper kit I have on my headlights ( I got the 35W 5K kit) That is the only reason why I didn't rate the kit 5stars and why I haven't changed my headlight kit to one of these. But customer service I rate 5 stars and Brightness 5 stars the kit itself I give like a 3.5-4ish just b/c it doesnt fire up the first time I press the button. I might contact customer service but I dont want to mess with the kit right now b/c the winter is upon us here in Chicago and I dont want to remove and add the kit again, like I said I don't mind pressing the button twice :^)
I bought a set of these in 6000k for my 2001 ford focus Zts... The light output over the stock bulbs is a night and day difference... Can clearly see a much wider angle with this kit in my fog lights. One of the best after-market upgrades for my focus that I've ever purchased. Looking forward to installing my h1 kit in my aftermarket projector headlight housing that I've bought.
