ACME: Picked up the call from consumers who want a product that meets their expectations but aren't ready to break the bank. Their entry-level gear is the new industry standard that delivers real performance at the right price.
A Step Above Basic: A step above standard, these "Super Mini H1" projectors are about equal to the 5th gen Morimoto Mini H1. The "Super Mini H1" is the industry standard for high quality, but still pretty "basic" of all of the Mini H1 projector varieties. The Supers are produced with a bit more quality control in mind relative to the "standard" Mini H1's out there. The components in the ACME Super H1s are made with better precision meaning: less sticky solenoids, a sharper and more colorful cutoff line, less chance of a stripped lock ring, and overall...more light on the road!
Beam Pattern: Producing a classic DOT-stepped cutoff and a decently sharp cutoff, for such an inexpensive projector the light output isn't half bad!
Dual Function: The push/pull bi-xenon mechanism of this bi-xenon projector retrofit creates both patterns. Although dated, ACME Super H1 bi-xenons use the most modern version of the Push/Pull solenoid system found on earlier Morimoto projectors.
Easy Install: The ACME Super H1 Bi-xenon uses a 20mm threaded mounting shaft for easy retrofitting with a good quality Hex-shaped lock ring made of AL. Their 2.5" lenses and small body makes this bi-xenon projector retrofit ideal for use in a budget build for a motorcycle or any vehicle with a small Fog Light housing.
Direct: These projectors are factory-direct and do not receive the same level of QC that we've come to expect from other brands like Morimoto. However, the ACME Super H1s got a good track record for little to no problems out of the box, and their pre-installed clear lens should give them a nice sharp and colorful cutoff line and good output.
H1 Only: The ACME Super H1 projectors are designed for, you guessed it! H1 HID bulbs. Other bulbs will not seat properly or result in the proper light output, so pick yourself up a set to make sure you've got it all!
Optional Precision Bulb Holders: Designed by Morimoto in California, the new MotoHo1der utilizes a three-piece design that's way more effective but virtually no bigger overall than the old clip setup. The clever three-piece design provides even pressure on the back of the bulb, ensuring perfect alignment. To be honest, we think it's the single best upgrade to the projector that's ever been conceived since it helps make the most of the awesome 7.0's on the road. Well worth the extra few bucks in the grand scheme of things!
Trusted: For more than a decade, we've worked hard to earn our killer reputation. Car guys world-wide know that TRS carries the internet's best selection of high performance automotive and powersport lighting products at the best prices, and we've got the best, most knowledgeable team of real enthusiasts to help back it up. Very happy with these!
Have installed these in about 5 installs so far, and have been consistently pleased with build quality and light output. The high beam pattern is nice for both on- and off-road use - it's probably more useful for off-roading than the Mori D2S, while still being fairly impressive on-road.
Best bang for your buck.
I bought these to do a budget build on a Triumph Daytona. Light output is good but not the best. The cutoff is really sharp and has a nice color to it. Overall really happy with these projectors!
Great projectors for the on the budget DIYers
Great projectors for the DIY entry level retrofitters without breaking the bank. Start with these for the beginner then once you get to know how on retrofitting you can buy other projectors for your next pair of retrofitted headlights.
