Like: The Mini D2S 3.0 that became so popular for its stellar performance, the new 4TL-R Bi-xenon is based upon the same architecture, but scaled down in size and given new mounting points for direct-use in place of many modern OEM projectors!
Why TL-R? Simple, the mounting points are based on the same bolt pattern as the 4G Acura TL xenon projectors that many Japanese cars use from the factory like the new Accord, Acura TL, Toyota Sienna, and Honda Odyssey! Gotta love being able to open your housing, unbolt your old weak projector, and swap in something that performs 10x better!
Performance: They produce a very wide beam pattern with a perfect distribution of light and top it off with a supremely sharp cutoff that will blow your mind. We're gonna go ahead and say not many projectors will out-shine the 4TL-R. Even with a clear lens swap and an experienced hand, you would be hard-pressed to tune your OEM 4G TL projectors to even come close performance-wise!
High-end: As a relative to Morimoto's Mini D2S, the 4TL-R shares the same precision! The castings, the materials used for the bi-xenon mechanism and it's moving parts, to the the finishes applied from front to back are the market's demanded all along: OEM quality in an aftermarket setting.
But wait, there's more!: the 4TL-R isn't just good for OEM+ swaps. This is one of the best performing small bi-xenon projectors on the market today, and with their small 2.5" lens and convenient mounting points - you can custom retrofit these into almost anything and reap the rewards!

2009 TL install notes

So my install notes are as follows *assuming you can get the headlights off of the car, and disassembled*
the 4TL-R projectors bi-xenon plug interferes with the 4th gen TL projector mounting. a small 1/4" x 1/4" chunk needs to be removed from the lower portion of the mounting bracket. there are two dimple guides. the dimple that is in the way of the plug needs to be removed (dremmel w/ cutoff wheel)
once that is removed, the projector required .0250" spacers for the bottom, and a .0340" spacer for the top screw (your results may vary slightly). this keeps the high-beam in line with the projector.
I recommend installing the D2s bulb at this time as well, because it will be a PITA to install the bulb once the lenses are back on. I ran the bi-xenon wiring harness down thru the ballast hole.
A Must Have Upgraded for your Honda Crosstour

I have replaced the halogen projector with this Morimoto 4TL-R for my 2013 Honda Crosstour. Thanks for Jamielle for helping me choosing the right projector. It is a direct swap for my original projector.
As for the result, the light output is a lot better than the original halogen projector. I'm very happy with the purchased, and glad that I have made a right decission.
Thank you so much TRS, especially to Jamielle

Semi easy to retro into hondas/acuras that has factory projectors and you want that upgrade. Nice and wide with a clear sharp cut off. The color flicker is between purple/violet to blue. I like the performance of these projectors.

Using these for my Acura TSX, great upgrade, easy to retrofit with small modifications for mounting. Using them for a very long time on a daily usage with 50 watts morimoto ballast and XB35 D2S. Nice even output, clear cut off, violet to blue flicker very nice color flickers and very bright, beam is wide enough to light up 4 lanes of freeway.
Plenty of light in a small package

I installed these in my 92 gmc sierra. By far the best decision I could have made. Obviously the cut off isn't quite as good as the d2s 4.0 but if you need a good quality projector in a cramped space but still want 50w hids, this is the way to go! The cutoff is better than I assumed it would be and you really can't beat the price.

This was my first retrofit. I have a 2010 Acura TL and wasn't too happy with my stock headlights. Was this an upgrade? I think I made a pretty good decision based on what I was looking for. Color, sharpness, light output, all are exceptionally great when describing these projectors.
