LED Fog Light Bulbs
9012: Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0B-LHB-2S3-9012-TRS
[ In Stock: 0 pieces ]
Benchmark: Over the course of the last year, Morimoto was hard at work developing a new kind of LED bulb. It re-creates the original beam pattern from your optics effectively by doing more with less. They will put more light on the road for you as the driver, while creating less glare for oncoming traffic compared to any other LED bulb on the market today. While LED bulbs still aren't DOT approved for use in headlights in the states.. foreign markets and fog light users can enjoy the best plug n play LED bulb to date. The 2Stroke 3.0. (Patents Pending)
Superior Beam Quality: The advanced PCB technology at the core of the 2Stroke 3.0 sets a new industry benchmark emission surface interval of just 2mm total. The PCB core itself is just 1.0mm thick. The dielectric layer: 300um. The circuit pattern: 140um, and the Osram Oslon HKL351.TE LED chips: just .43mm each. Paired with the 1.03 x 4.33mm light-emitting surface area of the LEDs: this adds up to a total cubic volume of 4.46mm. At the end of the day, no LED bulb in the world more closely simulates the filament size of an incandescent bulb more accurately than the Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0.and for those in the know, this is critical when it comes to proper beam distribution.
Optimized focal length: Each size in the 2Stroke 3.0 lineup has been painstakingly optimized for proper output in its designated application. The critical reference distance has been calculated based on the geometry of the bulb base and the footprint of the Osram HKL emitter. To ensure consistency, special tools were designed to quality-control the accuracy of each bulb as it comes off the production line. Most other LED fog light bulbs on the market use a 'set it and forget it' reference distance across all sizes in the series, which is not the case here.
360 degrees of Rotation: The 2Stroke 3.0 LED bulbs feature a fully adjustable base. In order to fully utilize the optical facets in any reflector or projector: The light emitting diodes must face the 3-o-clock and 9-o-clock positions. Since no single standard exists across different headlight and fog light assemblies, all bulbs in the 2Stroke 3.0 range are fully adjustable. A geared step rotational adjuster mechanism is installed for all bulbs which twist-to-lock, offering adjustability in 15-degree intervals. An omni-adjustable rotation mechanism is utilized on all bulbs that are press-fit or clip into the housing.
Thermal management: Once the bulb is installed, the high-speed fan contained within is completely sealed, making the 2Stroke 3.0 the first actively cooled LED bulb with a fan that's not susceptible to outside elements. Their unique internal circulation cooling system uses a 12,000-rpm cyclone fan to suck cool air into the body of the bulb and blow warm air out, back into the housing. On the intake side, cold air is sucked in past the sidewall of the PCB to exchange heat and is blown out the opposite side of the bulb. This effectively cools the bulb while warming the ambient temperature inside of the housing, increasing resistance to snow/ice buildup on the lens during the winter months. The cooling system on the 2Stroke 3.0 not only does it's job to protect the longevity of the bulb, but serves up a bad-weather benefit not found elsewhere. US Patent #11079090 (Click for Details)
DRL Drive: The LED Driver is configured to accept a wide range of input voltage, making them compatible with low voltage daytime running lights commonly found on modern vehicles. When the LED driver detects 6-9V of input: The system logic automatically switches to produce just 30% of the standard output. The low power drive rate of 250mA produces only 460lm per emitter and enables the 2Stroke 3.0 to produce a suitably low output volume as a daytime running light. In this mode, the cooling fan also shuts off to conserve power/lifespan. For vehicles with a PWM-based DRL signal, an inline PWM module that produces a clean DC6V will be required. The driver is completely potted, making it completely weather-proof. Note that the DRL-Drive function is only for use in non-US markets.

2 Stroke 3.0!
Oh. My. God. I have a 2015 Scion tC, using the factory size 9012. Car came with bi-halogen projectors, swapped in the Morimoto Elite 4500K 35W HID system, got tired of multiple failure points, just installed the new Morimoto 2 Stroke 3.0’s... huge difference!! The beam pattern is FLAWLESS! Better than the HID and even better than stock halogens!! The cutoff line is sharp, light output is EVENLY distributed, with no center hotspots/dead edges, and the color temp is perfect! Have not driven in rain/snow, but I have nothing but high expectations. Cant go wrong with these!
2015 Chrysler 200
After my Hid's failed and I was unable to isolate the problem my search started for a bulb that would come close to matching the DRL light... and to my surprise the Morimoto 2Stroke 2.0 has come to the rescue. I would recommend these bulbs. I would also like to say to any Chrysler 200 2015-2017 owners the extend caps are not needed, everything fits inside the light housing.
Awesome upgrade for Gen 1 Chevy Volt!
I installed these in my 2012 Chevy Volt in January 2019, so have some time on the clock with these. First of all, they have performed flawlessly for over a year now and they blow the stock halogens out of the water. The Volt's stock halogens are flat out unsafe, they are so dim. Two weak flashlights duct taped to the side of the car would be better!
Installation couldn't be easier, literally a straight swap out, completely plug and play. The 2STROKE fits inside the housing with no modifications to the dustcaps needed.
SO MUCH BRIGHTER than stock with a pleasing pure white color temp. I feel safe driving in the dark now. Street and road signs really POP! Beam pattern and coverage is just fine.
Only negative (but not enough to drop a review star) is the fan noise. It is noticeable when stopped, especially in an otherwise silent EV. But, when I'm driving, it's not an issue. In an ICE vehicle, would be totally unnoticeable. Looking forward to 2STROKE 3.0!
BLEW MY MIND
I bought these for my 2015 Scion TC after my HIDs gave out on me and compared to my HIDs the 2SSTROKE 2.0 were a noticeable difference. The light output was much brighter and stronger. I can see everything much more clearly at night without second guessing my self on the road.
Blow away much better than expected
I installed these in a 2013 Taurus halogen projector base the light output is 10x brighter at least also matches the stock cutoff line perfectly . These are small based LED bulbs the images shown don’t do justice I did not need the extended caps but you may also the fans are not overly loud either only a slight hum but with the engine running you can’t hear it. If you want the brightest led for your stock ford projectors use these you can’t go wrong.
I purchased these for my 2018 Rav4. I seriously couldn't see the road with oncoming traffic completely obliterating my stock headlights. After three months of putting up with it I took a chance and purchased these. Extremely happy I did, the output from my car is still very focused as they're in projectors, but I'm also casting light out to the sides of the road too, and I still have a nice solid horizontal cut off line so I know I'm not blinding other drivers.
Bottom line, they're a solid choice much brighter than stock halogen bulbs. If you're driving with projection housing, these guys have got you covered.
