Benchmark: Over the course of the last year, Morimoto was hard at work developing a new kind of LED bulb. It re-creates the original beam pattern from your optics effectively by doing more with less. They will put more light on the road for you as the driver, while creating less glare for oncoming traffic compared to any other LED bulb on the market today. While LED bulbs still aren't DOT approved for use in headlights in the states.. foreign markets and fog light users can enjoy the best plug n play LED bulb to date. The 2Stroke 3.0. (Patents Pending)
Superior Beam Quality: The advanced PCB technology at the core of the 2Stroke 3.0 sets a new industry benchmark emission surface interval of just 2mm total. The PCB core itself is just 1.0mm thick. The dielectric layer: 300um. The circuit pattern: 140um, and the Osram Oslon HKL351.TE LED chips: just .43mm each. Paired with the 1.03 x 4.33mm light-emitting surface area of the LEDs: this adds up to a total cubic volume of 4.46mm. At the end of the day, no LED bulb in the world more closely simulates the filament size of an incandescent bulb more accurately than the Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0.and for those in the know, this is critical when it comes to proper beam distribution.
Optimized focal length: Each size in the 2Stroke 3.0 lineup has been painstakingly optimized for proper output in its designated application. The critical reference distance has been calculated based on the geometry of the bulb base and the footprint of the Osram HKL emitter. To ensure consistency, special tools were designed to quality-control the accuracy of each bulb as it comes off the production line. Most other LED fog light bulbs on the market use a 'set it and forget it' reference distance across all sizes in the series, which is not the case here.
360 degrees of Rotation: The 2Stroke 3.0 LED bulbs feature a fully adjustable base. In order to fully utilize the optical facets in any reflector or projector: The light emitting diodes must face the 3-o-clock and 9-o-clock positions. Since no single standard exists across different headlight and fog light assemblies, all bulbs in the 2Stroke 3.0 range are fully adjustable. A geared step rotational adjuster mechanism is installed for all bulbs which twist-to-lock, offering adjustability in 15-degree intervals. An omni-adjustable rotation mechanism is utilized on all bulbs that are press-fit or clip into the housing.
Thermal management: Once the bulb is installed, the high-speed fan contained within is completely sealed, making the 2Stroke 3.0 the first actively cooled LED bulb with a fan that's not susceptible to outside elements. Their unique internal circulation cooling system uses a 12,000-rpm cyclone fan to suck cool air into the body of the bulb and blow warm air out, back into the housing. On the intake side, cold air is sucked in past the sidewall of the PCB to exchange heat and is blown out the opposite side of the bulb. This effectively cools the bulb while warming the ambient temperature inside of the housing, increasing resistance to snow/ice buildup on the lens during the winter months. The cooling system on the 2Stroke 3.0 not only does it's job to protect the longevity of the bulb, but serves up a bad-weather benefit not found elsewhere.
DRL Drive: The LED Driver is configured to accept a wide range of input voltage, making them compatible with low voltage daytime running lights commonly found on modern vehicles. When the LED driver detects 6-9V of input: The system logic automatically switches to produce just 30% of the standard output. The low power drive rate of 250mA produces only 460lm per emitter and enables the 2Stroke 3.0 to produce a suitably low output volume as a daytime running light. In this mode, the cooling fan also shuts off to conserve power/lifespan. For vehicles with a PWM-based DRL signal, an inline PWM module that produces a clean DC6V will be required. The driver is completely potted, making it completely weather-proof. Note that the DRL-Drive function is only for use in non-US markets.

Things to know
The 3.0 is an outstanding improvement in LED forward lighting with good color, good output, and near perfect beam pattern. Two things though: 1) unless you are putting these on a farm tractor, you will probably need the anti-flicker harness; and 2) these units produce substantial RFI (radio frequency interference). The RFI issue is something Morimoto should address at the manufacturing level. If it needs a choke on the harness, put a choke. If the cables need better shielding, upgrade the cables. Turning on the lights completely drowns out the FM radio with static. Not acceptable in a high end product at this price point. Still five stars for the lights, but Morimoto is supposed to understand electronics, somfix this.
2016 KIA RIO FOG LIGHTS (9006)
Awesome lights, improved a lot from the factory halogen bulbs, I didn't expect them to be so much brighter than a regular halogen bulb, but the difference in bright and light output is noticeable. Definitely I recommend anyone to buy the Morimotos 2 Stroke 2.0. And in other notices, the costumer service from TRS are the best, they help you quickly and with the right response in no time.
07 Jeep WK
Awesome lights, you definitely get what you pay for here. Color is pure white no hints of blue whatsoever looks super clean and nice. I also have a been a HID guy, finally decided to bite the bullet and try led, & of course I had to do Morimoto I had thought about Supernova but way too expensive and not proven at all like Morimoto. Very glad I did, these are really bright don't expect a LED bar or the range of HID, but they're hella good and you will not be disappointed take my word I was really impressed and they look REALLYYY nice man, not like the Amazon LED's with all the glare lol, these don't have any glare or very very minimal . My Jeep has reflectors and I didn't even have to adjust the lights, these were spot on just like the halogens I had before which was nice. On my Jeep I did need anti-flickers so make sure you get them if you have a WK or XK. I didn't get them initially, but as I researched more and more a lot of people said you had to have them.So I contacted TRS before my order finished processing and they told me I didn't need them, and said and done I did need them when I installed them because they flickered and stayed dim after I turned off the car. I contacted them again spoke with Jimmy, and this is where I really was impressed more than the lights themselves which believe me are sick, I'm not one to drop $120 on light bulbs, but I'm happy I did. I told him my case how I felt they should get me the anti-flickers at no cost since they said I didn't' need them, and Jimmy made things right and got them to me no questions asked. That's customer service when you take care of a customer the right way, now I feel really good about purchasing from them again and will recommend 110% percent to anyone I know or who is looking for quality lighting. Overall really happy with my purchase the lights kick a** super recommended I can't comment on longevity since I've had for only a few weeks but they're built really well don't feel cheap at all or filmsy, customer service was top notch which I know ALOT of people know is damm hard to find now a days and that's facts period. A+++++++
These are the real deal, build quality excellent compared to other Ebay and Amazon products I have tried. Light position is correct if not exact to the halogen bulb. I did have to lower the headlights about 2 inches from 20ft just because the brightness is so intense and safety for other drivers. No more worries on dark west roads as I can see the road compared to halogen. Adding Morimoto products to one of the first upgrades to any of my vehicles. Don't wait and get this upgrade NOW! Worth every penny.
Insanely Easy to Install and Crazy Amounts of Light
After close to 7 years of faithful and reliable service, the Morimoto HID's on my wife's car started to show signs of failure. Needless to say, with that kind of track record, Morimoto was the only option to replace them. When I saw that Morimoto was making LED's low beams, I knew that those would be what I'd buy to replace the HID's. I definitely was not disappointed when the finally arrived. Install was as painless as replacing halogens, and took a total of 10 minutes to install. It took more time to remove the the HID set up than it did installing their replacements. When it comes to output, the 5000K bulbs which I got put out a clean and crisp beam that are on par, if not a bit brighter, than the HID's they replaced. The beam color is almost pure white, which is makes for great night time visibility. Overall, these are worth the price and are definitely worth the wait (I had to wait for restock). Morimoto products are the best on the market and coupled with TRS support and customer service, you won't regret buying these. Seeing how well these have performed, I'll be replacing the high beams as well.
I have always had HID lights, this was my first set of LEDs and I love them! Just as bright as HID but so much less wires and they go straight into the factory harness. Also love the 5700K, I am not a fan what so ever of the blue, these are pretty much solid white. Definitely recommend!
Light output is pretty great, but...
The light output is amazing especially for being installed in a plain ol' halogen housing. There's very very little scatter and they're extremely bright. My only complaint is how loud the fans are. I understand the need for fans, but these things are loud. I can hear them inside the car when at a stop (my car does auto start/stop so that's a contributing factor). I wish there were a way to make them silent.

Amazing light output good clarity down the road in regular halogen housing.
So bright, cant hear a thing.
Put these in a 07 GTI for fogs. Perfect light, matches the color of the HIDs (Morimoto XB D2S). I keep thinking someone will flash me because these are so bright. I do get an error code, but I know TRF has a fix for it.
