Acclaimed: The Morimoto Elite Systems are considered among the most respected sets of HIDs available on the aftermarket. Not the cheapest or most expensive option, these 9005 HID replacement kits are simply the best. Read the Reviews from auto enthusiasts like you, check the specs, and continue on for more on how a fresh set of Morimoto HIDs can help you see better and be better seen driving at night.
All The Options: Whether you want to upgrade your high beams or are using it as an HID fog light conversion kit, there are a variety of options to get the job done right. This helpful video covers your choices of bulbs, ballasts, wires, and more.
HID Ballasts: To automotive lighting nerds like us, the XB ballasts included in the 9005 HID kit are nothing short of functional works of art. These ballasts feature an industrial-edge styling that serves as a sharp as an OE replacement and are loaded with the most modern performance technology. A DSP 3.0 circuit uses cutting-edge technology to maximize input and output efficiency, while the spacing between the high voltage igniters and circuits ensure trouble-free performance with minimal radio interference. These are truly some of the best aftermarket ballasts we’ve seen, and they’re worth every penny.
9005 HID Bulbs: Morimoto HID bulbs have a well-earned reputation for consistently setting a higher bar for premium aftermarket products. Installed in projector-based headlights as part of a 9005 HID headlight conversion kit or fog light kit, these lamps provide a clear and focused beam that puts your stock halogens to shame. We not only respect the way Morimoto HID bulbs burn bright, but also how long they last without sacrificing luminosity. Tested against the very best, these XB HID bulbs held their own and then some.
Quality Harness: Upgrading your vehicle’s lighting system with premium components and skimping out on the wiring is like buying a perfectly tuned Ferrari and putting bald tires on it. It will never operate at it's peak, and if the harness fails, it will put your entire system out of commission. Morimoto harnesses are known for their durability, thanks to triple-sealed central relay packs. They’re also plug-n-play, which means they’ll work with your original cabin controls without any additional tinkering. They even look just like the OEM wires they’re replacing, and they provide the power and signal delivery to get the most out of your bulbs and ballasts.
Canbus Wire Harnesses: Updating the lighting on many late model European vehicles is a warning light waiting to happen. In cases where the electronic system is designed to recognize modifications, Morimoto offers a Standalone Canbus harness designed to fool the vehicle’s ECU into thinking it’s running on its original halogens. We’ve seen these harnesses eliminate “bulb out” warnings on many different VW and BMW models — and most european vehicle's operating with a Canbus system for that matter.
Relied On: TRS stands behind the 9005 HID replacement kits we sell with a 5-year warranty and up to 2,500 hours on all components.* Don’t believe the hype of other online dealers making ridiculous promises like “lifetime warranties” that have no plans to back it up. I've used a few different HID kits in the past few years. This is the most complete well made kit I've run across. Looks good also. Morimoto bulbs have the most focused cleanest light pattern. Wiring is heavy duty and well constructed. Relay harness is also very well made. The best is the guys at the retrofit source will spend all the time that they need to talking to you on the phone. Biggest plus I've run across..... They speak English and are located in the good old USA !!
Bought these to upgrade my 2011 Durango Citadel to HID high beams, as the stock halogens were not that great. On this model the low beams stay on with the high beams so the delay between on and full brightness wasn't a huge concern for me. These things are BRIGHT! I can see for days with them on. Easy install, good instructions, very happy.
Note: if you're putting these on a Mopar get the anti-flicker. The relays buzz and they do flicker, so I had to order that after the fact. Not a TRS/Morimoto fault, that's all on Dodge.
I have been using my HIDs for a couple of months now and I have no complains so far. These are the best HIDs I have ever use. I use them in my 2013 Accord and lights up everytime.
