Benchmark: Over the course of the last year, Morimoto was hard at work developing a new kind of LED bulb. It re-creates the original beam pattern from your optics effectively by doing more with less. They will put more light on the road for you as the driver, while creating less glare for oncoming traffic compared to any other LED bulb on the market today. Superior Beam Quality: The advanced PCB technology at the core of the 2Stroke 3.0 sets a new industry benchmark emission surface interval of just 2mm total. The PCB core itself is just 1.0mm thick. The dielectric layer: 300um. The circuit pattern: 140um, and the Osram Oslon HKL351.TE LED chips: just .43mm each. Paired with the 1.03 x 4.33mm light-emitting surface area of the LEDs: this adds up to a total cubic volume of 4.46mm. At the end of the day, no LED bulb in the world more closely simulates the filament size of an incandescent bulb more accurately than the Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0.and for those in the know, this is critical when it comes to proper beam distribution.
Optimized focal length: Each size in the 2Stroke 3.0 lineup has been painstakingly optimized for proper output in its designated application. The critical reference distance has been calculated based on the geometry of the bulb base and the footprint of the Osram HKL emitter. To ensure consistency, special tools were designed to quality-control the accuracy of each bulb as it comes off the production line. Most other LED fog light bulbs on the market use a 'set it and forget it' reference distance across all sizes in the series, which is not the case here.
360 degrees of Rotation: The 2Stroke 3.0 LED bulbs feature a fully adjustable base. In order to fully utilize the optical facets in any reflector or projector: The light emitting diodes must face the 3-o-clock and 9-o-clock positions. Since no single standard exists across different headlight and fog light assemblies, all bulbs in the 2Stroke 3.0 range are fully adjustable. A geared step rotational adjuster mechanism is installed for all bulbs which twist-to-lock, offering adjustability in 15-degree intervals. An omni-adjustable rotation mechanism is utilized on all bulbs that are press-fit or clip into the housing.
Thermal management: Once the bulb is installed, the high-speed fan contained within is completely sealed, making the 2Stroke 3.0 the first actively cooled LED bulb with a fan that's not susceptible to outside elements. Their unique internal circulation cooling system uses a 12,000-rpm cyclone fan to suck cool air into the body of the bulb and blow warm air out, back into the housing. On the intake side, cold air is sucked in past the sidewall of the PCB to exchange heat and is blown out the opposite side of the bulb. This effectively cools the bulb while warming the ambient temperature inside of the housing, increasing resistance to snow/ice buildup on the lens during the winter months. The cooling system on the 2Stroke 3.0 not only does it's job to protect the longevity of the bulb, but serves up a bad-weather benefit not found elsewhere.
DRL Drive: The LED Driver is configured to accept a wide range of input voltage, making them compatible with low voltage daytime running lights commonly found on modern vehicles. When the LED driver detects 6-9V of input: The system logic automatically switches to produce just 30% of the standard output. The low power drive rate of 250mA produces only 460lm per emitter and enables the 2Stroke 3.0 to produce a suitably low output volume as a daytime running light. In this mode, the cooling fan also shuts off to conserve power/lifespan. For vehicles with a PWM-based DRL signal, an inline PWM module that produces a clean DC6V will be required. The driver is completely potted, making it completely weather-proof. Note that the DRL-Drive function is only for use in non-US markets.

Way better then the a to z special
Mother in law has had cheap LED for 2 years and they drive me CRAZY when ever i drive her car when I'm servicing it at my shop. FINALLY convinced her to spend the money for an upgrade. THESE ARE VERY NICE. Actually has a cutoff like pattern vs a ton of scattered light like cheap LEDs have.
If you are scared of opening your headlight for a projector retrofit then i would highly recommend these at the very least.

I bought these for my 2019 Subaru WRX for the Hi-Beam and let me tell you they are amazing and super bright! They work with the DRL system in the car so you just blind people with constant hi beams all the time in the daylight but that okay lol! I will not put any other lights in any of my cars after seeing how amazing these lights are and you shouldn't even care about the price when you truly see the product in person!! They look amazing by themselves and then the light it puts out is outstanding! Worth every penny!!!!!!

I have the XB HID kit in the low beams and was ready to upgrade the high beams. Install was fairly easy, bought the housing extension and made them work on my caps.

Bought for an 18 legacy. HUGE upgrade from stock. Worth every penny. Driving in the middle of nowhere and deer country is no problem anymore. These lights are awesome!
I bought these for my 201 5 Honda Accord Sport unsure whether they would work or not with the DRL system (bought the harness also just in case). Previously, I'd read that LEDs and DRLs didn't mix well because of the lower voltage sent to the high beam bulbs, causing them to either flicker or run really dim, so I left those alone when I was upgrading the forward lighting.
Fast forward two years...a couple of weeks ago I ran across a YouTube video from the guys over at Headlight Revolution about these new Morimoto 2Stroke 2.0s. Chris does a great job of reviewing the bulbs and the test applications used and I figured "heck, if they're DRL compatible, maybe I'll give them a shot." Ordered the 9005-type connector and after about a week, they arrived.
Installed them a half-hour ago with the anti-flicker harness and whaddya know, they work! No flicker during DRL mode and the high beams work. The light output is crazy - these are easily twice as bright as the stock halogens. I love how they retain the original focus pattern (in the Accord, the high beams continue to use a reflector style housing despite the change to a projector system on the 9th generation headlight assembly).
Definitely worth the upgrade.
Sorry I wish I could give this a better review but when I installed the 9005 bulbs they were loose enough in the housing that I could see the beam pattern changing when driving. After swapping some o-rings around i got them to work. I want to give these a better review but when it doesn't fit correctly straight out of the box...
Night & Day difference
Literally, these bulbs bring the night to day! My neighbor and I installed these the day they arrived. No, it's not 2 person job, just an excuse to hang in the garage and sample some beers ;) We couldn't believe the difference! Highly recommend!
Bought a set of these for my 19 WRX high beams and they are awesome! It's like having the sun in front of your car when paired with a mini h1 bixeon retrofit. I live in a very rural area so I probably use my high beams more often than just low beams. Great color and pattern, huge upgrade for anyone that uses their high beams quite often. I am not running them as a DRL, so I can't say I know how they look as a DRL. I think it took me less than 5 minutes to install the lights. It's a simple upgrade but, none the less, an upgrade worth doing.
