Profile Performance: It's not like LED bulbs in the automotive world are a new thing, but these guys are coming in hot and packing a serious punch with the new Peak series. While the rest of the industry is busy standing still with the same-old same-old; Profile is working hand-in-hand with the industry’s experts to deliver the performance that we all expect. Lucky for us they're doing it in style too because these bulbs look awesome, and thats why compared to allll the other choices out there] they deserve the slot in our catalog and the space on our shelves.
Multi-Use: With far more intensity than the original halogen bulbs, the Peak LEDs make for an awesome upgrade in performance and style. Available in four unique setups, you can pick up a set of Peak's that will be perfect for every position on your car. They come in red, amber, white, and of course, white/amber switchbacks, and are ideal for use in corner markers, turn signals, brake lights, and reverse lights.
Modern: The Peak LED bulbs are superior to other options from an installation and compatibility standpoint. Their cool sea foam green bases are wired with double wide contacts to ensure perfect contact with factory bulb sockets. (no thin wire-based contacts that can easily bend out of the way or even break). The circuits are all designed to be compatible with CK and non-CK sockets too, so there's there's no need to worry about polarity or harming the bulb/wiring from plugging it in backwards.
Ford and Toyota Vehicles: There is known issues with how the factory wiring functions using the X-VF switchback bulbs. Because of these known issues, we cannot recommend them for Ford or Tacoma / Tundra vehicles at this time.
Attractive: Yeah it's possible to find another option that claims more lumens, but the last thing we want on our rides is a gigantic yellow blob of LED chips hanging out in the corner of our headlight. Might be bright when it's on, but looks like a banana hammock until then. The CNC machined aluminum body on the Peak LED bulbs looks great and the anodized finish will last forever. With 12 angled LEDs on the sides and another four behind the projector lens on the front – they produce 480 lumens of intensity in all directions! Plenty bright.
CanBus: The Profile Peak LED bulbs are CanBus friendly and shouldn't cause any dashboard errors in most every application. However, if you plan to install these bulbs in any of your turn signals: you will need to use a load resistor to prevent them from blinking rapidly. We recommend the optional Morimoto HD load resistors or one of the Profile FlashPack relays to help solve that!
Trusted: For more than a decade, we've worked hard to earn our killer reputation. Car guys world-wide know that TRS carries the internet's best selection of high performance automotive and powersport lighting products at the best prices, and we've got the best, most knowledgeable team of real enthusiasts to help back it up. I am using the amber 3157's up front and the red 3157 in the taillights. Much brighter and more distinct than OEM bulbs.
I used AlfaOBD to set the turn/park/brake lights to the LED setting in BCM and they work without errors.
Love these switchbacks! Took a while to pull the trigger on these but man are these awesome! Installed these in my 2011 Ford Edge and they look stunning alongside my Osram HBI HID's and switchback DRL's! The fade in effect is very nice and compliments my Edge well. Highly recommend and will be ordering another pair for our '13 MKX!
These look nice and work well in my 2016 ram 1500 with one exception. I installed these with the 7.5Ohm/40 watt resistors and when my truck is turned off, they work fine, but when I start my truck, the white leds in the switchback bulbs flicker for a few seconds. They also flicker after activating and deactivating the turn signals when it changes from amber back to white. Any help with this issue would be appreciated.
i was looking for something a little brighter than the Amazon and Autozone bulbs i purchased and these are definitely brighter!
i went with the switchbacks for front turn signals on my 2011 Dodge Nitro, i didn't buy the load resistors because i already have Plug-n-Play load resistors i purchased a few years back. Definitely worth the money!
One of my Acme switchback bulbs faded out after a year so I ordered a set of Profile's to replace them while I was doing my retrofit. The white is extremely bright and the fade in function is very cool! I know TRS doesn't recommend these for Ford vehicles but with the Moriomoto resistors, they work perfectly on my 15' Ford F-250.
I got these switchbacks for my front turn signals on my 2014 Ford Fiesta and they look awesome. I wired in resistors for the turn signal wires to prevent "hyperflash" and the parking lights are a bright white. They are bright enough that I use my white parking lights as my DRLs now. A cool feauture they have is that they fade on and off when you switch on and off the turn signal. Another confidence I have in these bulbs is that they're backed by a 2 year warranty. Why waste $20 on cheap bulbs when you can have quality ones!!
Grabbed a pair of switchbacks and put them in a painted housing. I was worried until I seen first hand how bright they really are. The white will all but blind you.
I simply love how deep the amber color is. I do have the indicator deleted and just have the low filament running due to the Panamera switchbacks. Seeing how they hold up to the test of time will determine whether I do my tail lamps too.
I got these for my brake lights and it really makes a difference. I haven't done my turn signals yet but when I do I will definitely get these again for them.
