Wow what an amazing material! I had never worked with Butyl before but this stuff is great. You can just stretch it out with your hands as you go (at room temperature) and get it to a thickness to just fill the channel in your headlights. This spool should last several retrofits, I must have used only 1/3 of it. Do not open your headlights without a spool of this stuff handy.

This is the way to go if you are having issues with a leaky headlight or moisture. My headlights are less than a year old although once I pried the lens off I lost some of the oem nissan butyl. I highly recommend this butyl as it does it's job! Clearly there is more than enough rubber glue for 2-3 sets of headlights at the minimum.

This is essential for a water tight seal. The only way the original sealant is going to be adequate is if your headlights are less than about 2 years old! Use this and avoid the headache of removing the headlights a second time to reseal them! I would be careful about heating in an oven over 250 degrees...once you get above that temperature you risk melting lines in any part of the housing that is touching the oven rack.
